I have just tried out a rough convert of ‘Halftone’ to CS3 using the time-honored cut and paste method.

Please read the description of projects carefully. The first line of the description reads ‘Requires After Effects CS4 ’
Unfortunately After Effects has never supported backwards compatibility so there’s not much you can do other than upgrade.
I’ll drop you a line though if I do ever convert it for CS3 .

It looks cool, but it only works in After Effects CS4 . Opening in CS3 or earlier yields a message: “This project was created in After Effects version 9. Please upgrade.”
