I was hoping to get a faster rendering time from a large VM, but strangely, the render time doesn’t seem to change. I started a VM with 32 cores and 128GB RAM to expedite rendering, and it’s still taking 1.5 hours to complete 25% of the default slideshow with no media changes.
Any tricks to speed up rendering? The results are stunning, so will end up struggling through unless anyone has suggestions…
Hello, Unfortunately, there is no easy way to speed up rendering time other than multithreaded rendering. The latest version of After Effects added this. That should help. Thank you
Beautiful project but took over a day to render even when using multi-threading and multi-processing in After Effects CC 2014, and also, got this error.
“After Effects warning: Expressions disabled as a result of errors.
2 expression errors:
1. Error at line 1 in property ‘Rotation X’ of layer 7 (‘reflection text on orb outro’) in comp ‘Glass orb outro’. No active camera at time 00:00:00:01.
2. Error at line 1 in property ‘Rotation Y’ of layer 7 (‘reflection text on orb outro’) in comp ‘Glass orb outro’. No active camera at time 00:00:00:01.”
How can I fix these errors?
Thank you again.
Hi
You can stretch a camera layer to the left in the composition “outro”
what size is the footage for the orbs
about 1200×1200
Can I change the background? Camera movement and position of the spheres?
Hi. You can change BG, but it must be high resolution. You can move the camera and spheres is limited, because it is unreal 3D objects
I keep having this issue where the preview shows that all of my pictures are in the glass orbs but when I render the final product, none of the pictures are included. I rendered it as you instructed. Do you know how I can fix this? Otherwise I would like a refund.
The reviews are terrific .. But I am having a horrible time rendering this piece. It is taking hours … I certainly hope you can give me some guidance. I have small images, only, in all of the media piece. No video whatsoever. I have a GeForce GTX970 Nividia Card and lots of ram, but just can’t get it to work. Can you possibly tell me what is going on with this file? Also, I have tried every setting possible in the Qucktime – mpeg4. Also, I am using After Effects CC. Thanks so very much!
Hi, thanks for your purchase and review.
The project is technically complex, so the render time will be more than in “quick slideshow”. To reduce rendering time you can enable Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously. The more you have the CPU, the faster rendering and the type of video card does not matter here. You can see this lesson from Todd Kopriva for more understanding – Using ‘Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously’ Multiprocessing
Did this a day ago and it made no difference whatsoever. Your one page instructions were insufficient and what I thought was a quick drop in small image and text has turned into a two day nightmare. I have more than sufficient memory and a new $500 video card just purchased to try and fix this. A very expensive experience in time and money.
Good idea, Nice job. Wishing you many sells.
Great job here! Love it.
p.s. thanks for featuring my music!
