This project creates animated flashing light walls. You can control the size of the light wall, the colour of the lights and the colour of the background. You control the light wall animation using simple black & white wipe patterns – this project comes with 120 pre-rendered patterns to get you started! This project also includes a separate After Effects project that demonstrates the light wall renders being used in a 3D After Effects set. It is included as an example of how light wall animations created with the main project can be used as textures or elements in other After Effects projects. The template was created using CC 2014, and comes with versions for CS 5.5, CS 6, and CC 2012. There are compositions to render at HD resolution AND full 4K resolution. It also comes with a 20 minute video tutorial to show you how to get the best out of the project and the 120 included patterns, as well as extensive help documents. The main light wall project requires the Optical Flares plugin. The 3D set project uses Trapcode Lux. You don’t need Trapcode Lux for the main light wall project, and the 3D set will work without Lux – it just won’t look as good. If you’re a VJ then this project is a great way to create your own light wall loops – you’ve instantly got 120 patterns to start with and they can be endlessly remixed, resized and sequenced into countless combinations.
