Hello, I purchased this template and it is amazing! The tutorial is easy to follow, the template well organized, and I’m loving it. I am hoping you can help me with two missing layers in the 2-Blimp Appearance Editor. I am missing the two gradient layers, in the project. I am working on a PC, Windows using AE 2024. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you, Steve
Hi Steve, thanks for buying the template! I’m sorry you’re having issues with those gradient layers. I’m not sure what happened there. I’m visiting my mom this weekend, so I’m away from my computer. I will be back home late tomorrow afternoon. I’ll take a look at the template and see if I can come up with a solution. Will get in touch with you tomorrow. Thanks!
Thank you so much for responding.
My OCD kicks in when something is missing, and when I saw those two layers missing, I sent the Email. I’m not a total expert in After Effects but I can usually figure things out, as I am above average.
I duplicated one of the layers and added a gradient ramp and got the same results, I do believe. I’m thinking you did something similar.
Those layers from your project are just missing on my end. Nothing I can’t work through, and you can delete my comment as I don’t want any negativity coming your way. This template is so well done, and if you are the one doing the voice-over for the tutorial, that alone is worth the price of the template. So well done.
Again, thank you so much for such a great template. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
I really appreciate your talent and AE skills.
Have a Great Week, Steve
Hi Steve. The way you went about adding the gradient layers back in is exactly how I had it set up. I’m glad my template suited your needs well. I really appreciate your kind words about my work. Thanks!
Are you ready to realistically integrate it into a recording?
Can I put my own character inside from custom animation?
Hi, I did not build in a customizable pilot feature, but if you have experience using After Effects and Element 3D, you can do it. Try going to the Element 3D layer, open the E3D plugin and replacing the “Pilot” model with your model. You could also try adding a 2D image of your character to the comp and position it in the cockpit. You would then parent it to the null used to move blimp around so the character would move with the blimp. Hope this gets you started.
