Nice work!
Thank you!
Where are the tutorials?????
Hello. The tutorials are located within the “Assets” folder in the download. If you’re not seeing them in that folder please let me know!
Hello Thomas, I have a pre-purchase question. Does this kit support rendering to portrait? Specifically want to make a few Facebook ads, but I want to be able to use portrait photos and render out to a portrait format.
Hello, the product is only supported for output of HD, but you can always crop down the results to make it vertical – it would just need to have dimensions smaller than 1920×1080, so for example you could do it square at 1080×1080 or vertical at 500×1000.
Nice work, ty!
You’re welcome!
genius Thomas
well done! good luck to you!
Thank you!
Hello! Can’t remember if you have the 5.5 version?
Hello! Yes, I do have it – just email me at support@thomaskovar.com. Thanks!
Hello Thomas, I have downloaded the kit and practically 80% of the items are missing: no parallax, no modules. I only have some images and tutorials. I tried to download the kit once again but the system indicates the archives are corrupted. Please advice. Thanks, Patricia
Hello, first off, sorry you are having an issue! I’m not sure what it is off the top of my head, but we’ll get it working for you.
The product is about 750mb, is that close to the size of the zip file when you download from Videohive? If not, there’s either a problem with the Envato server, which should be resolved shortly, or it’s a problem with your internet connection.
I would recommend, now that a couple hours have passed, to try and download the product again from the downloads section (Log-in to Videohive, on the top right click on your username, from the dropdown select ‘Downloads’).
If it still won’t fully download the project, file, please message me directly at support@thomaskovar.com and I’ll send you a direct link to the product that can work as a temporary solution until the Envato servers are back up and running again.
Thanks!
Hello Thomas. Do you still have the previous version you made (the one before Envato decide to remove your projec). I mean, the demo. Thanks!
Hello, yes I still have it.
Just direct message me at support@thomaskovar.com and I’ll send it over.
Thanks a lot.. sorry about my poor english
Hello there!
Love what you’ve created Thomas Kovar, looks amazing!!
I have a pre-sales question:
I saw on your preview video that you can easily isolate elements to create the double exposure effect: https://youtu.be/Ub4qSp_qwAo?t=9sDoes the images need any pre-processing in Photoshop or something to do this?
Or can this be done by simply importing an image and isolate it in After Effects?
Thank you very much!
Best regards, Fabian
Hi Fabian,
Thanks for reaching out!
Regarding the isolation, I include a few different methods for isolation you can choose from. If you are more familiar with Photoshop, you can isolate the elements in Photoshop and bring those results into AE, or you can isolate your images directly in AE, whichever you prefer.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hey there!
OK great thank you so much for your quick answer!
Best regards, Fabian
This is a really excellent template…Great job Thomas! Only issue is rendering times…. does anyone have tips on how to speed up the process? I’ve got a powerful machine, but my render is still very slow…
Hello, and thank you! By far, the two biggest render hits come from the parallax and depth of field in the project, so if you aren’t using them, disabling those features will *significantly• reduce the render time.
Beyond that, you could also go into the ‘Parallax Editor’ comp you are working with, disable ‘Shy Layers’ and actually delete any of the visual effects you aren’t using, it that will also slightly increase render times.
If you are on a tight deadline and need some extra computers to render your project on, just send me over your project file and assets and I can help render it on my end!
Thanks for the fast reply! I suspected those parameters might be affecting rendering… I’m not an After Effects guru so I wanted to clarify! Again, great project, one of the coolest I’ve used…the tutorials are really excellent, great compromise between detail and length. I’ll check out your portfolio and see what else you have to offer.
No problem! Also, motion blur – it’s a huge render hit for most projects, but it really does bring the final results to the next level. That’s another parameter that can be disabled, but I prefer to have it enabled by default in the render settings.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying the project, if you have any other questions or anything else I can help you out with, please feel free to reach out anytime.
Hello! Just to offer you my wishes of Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Success for 2017 but above all, good health: D
Thank you!
I am new to After Effects. Actually, I am new to video production/editing in general. I want to create an artistic intro video for a non-profit organization using the double exposure effect. Is this kit beginner friendly?
Hello, there’s a great, free introduction to After Effects by Andrew Kramer I’d recommend watching, just so you have a basic understanding of the program and user-interface.
You can check that out here: http://www.videocopilot.net/basic/
The project is created with beginners in mind and the tutorials go in detail through every step of the process, but if you have any questions you can message me anytime!
This sir looks IN$ANE!! am getting my new AI skills still dialed in but is there any kind of video covering the backend of how you create any of your uhmazingggg work with your Double Exposure (BIG fan of that style for some time and man you just took it to the #NEXTLEVEL 100 and grt to see your are teaming up with another #HumanSuperHero Seven Styles!) kit before purchasing?
Hello,
Thank you! Sure, just send me your email address to support@thomaskovar.com and I’ll send you some more info on the project.
Hi Thomas,
I’m trying to use a video as the secondary source, I have followed all the instructions (change comp length, extend comp, re-time wasn’t on for some reason) and I still get a still image version when it comes to the double exposure.
It’s killing me so any help is greatly appreciated!
Hello,
If the time remap wasn’t on, you may have been looking in the wrong comp to delete the time remap.
Try going into the comp ‘Secondary FreezeFrame X’ (X being the module number you’re working with) and deleting the time remap keyframe. If you’ve extended the comp ‘Secondary Isolation X’ then it should be all ready to go!
If you’re still stuck, message me directly at support@thomaskovar.com and we can dig deeper into it.
Just a general comment, Thomas has just spent a significant amount of time helping me to get the best out of this template. Above and beyond, many thanks.
Hi Thomas, trying to use your Double Exposure Template, can not get the rotobrush to select the outline of my picture, any thoughts??I’m following your tutorial to the letter and have tried numerous times, However I get way better results with your images but not my own, is there something I’m missing?
Hello,
It sounds like the image you are using particularly difficult to isolate. It’s most likely because there’s just not enough separation in contrast for you to be able to use the rotobush, as that tool is specifically targeting areas based off of the contrast. The best thing you can do in that situation is to use the pen tool with the feathering turned up to roughly isolate the object, then add additional masks to fine tune the results.
I’d have to see your image to give you specific recommendations, but in my experience, there are just times when the rotobrush or quick selection tool in Photoshop can’t determine an edge like the human eye can and you have to manually outline it with the pen tool.
Again, I’d be happy to take a look at it and give specific recommendations, just send the photo to support@thomaskovar.com.
good job! GLWS! =)
Thank you!
I like that) You are improving)))
Thank you!
Perfect work!
