This project does not work correctly. The .mov files are not supported anymore. I’d like to request a refund, please.
This project does not work correctly, at least with the prerendered version. I’m getting the same error messages mentioned above by olegdavydchik when using the prerendered version. I get two “Source compression type not supported” error messages and “Letter particles.mov” and “random particles.mov” both give me “damaged or unsupported” error messages. Those .mov files are also not readable by Premiere. Please provide updated pre-rendered .mov files.
The “requires plugins” version also does not work. I have the particulate plug-in, but get constant error messages: “After Effects error: Particular cannot work on a time-reversed layer. (512) ( 25 :: 237 )” I’d like to request a refund, please.
Hello! Your project doesn’t work. «.mov» videos is not imported into the project (the file is damaged or not supported). Also errors “The source compression type is not supported” appear.

Hi, sorry for the untimely response. Editing duration on this template is not particularly easy unfortunately. Also, editing the duration would require utilizing Trapcode Particular. I hope this helps!
Hi, I’m having problems with the movies. I’m getting error messages saying they can’t be imported.
I’ve got a problem with rendering. I’ve edited all text sections and then went to folder “FINAL” rendered and ended up having a video with red “light”. I’m quite new to Ae and got no idea how to fix it. Any help will be appropriate.

Hello. I have a problem with mov files (letter particles and random particles). I can’t open them at all. I have installed the latest Quick Time version.
When I open the project in AE I get this error. Source file has no impotable streams. Please check that it is a valid video/audio file.

Hi, I just purchased and the “Random Particles” and “Letter Particles” .MOV files are not registering as video files and I am just getting colored bars… any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for purchasing! Here’s my suggested troubleshooting method:
Make sure you unzip the file you downloaded from videohive prior to opening the .ae file. Do not open the project directly from 7zip or winrar.
If this is still a problem even after unzipping the folder, you can manually locate the assets in After Effects as follows:
- In the composition window (top left), find the missing file and select it.
- Right click on the file and select ‘Replace Footage’ > ‘File’
- Locate the file within the folder that all of the project assets should be saved in. This will be different from person to person.
- Select the file and click ‘Open’ to swap it with the ‘missing’ file in the AE project.
- Repeat this for all other missing files.
Let me know if this doesn’t work or if you have questions about the process I described.

Alright, so I found out I had an error in my installation of Quicktime on my PC disrupting the reading of MOV files, so I have it fixed. Thanks!

Can you take the pre-rendered comps and overlay them over video easily? For instance, white text overlaying imagery?
Yes you could – it would take some time and AE knowledge.

How do you change color of the text?

Thanks for the question, I just went into the project file and found that changing the color of the text is not going to work – you probably found that out already.
I made a small mistake by not including a “light” layer in a certain composition, so the text layers are not illuminated thus turning them to black / gray.
If you have experience in After Effects you can easily add a “point light” to each of the compositions titled “letter particles” and that will allow you to change the color of each text. If you don’t know how to do this I will be uploading a fix today which should be online in no more than two days.
I’ll let you know when the updated file is approved.

I noticed the point light works on letter particles in part 1 to change the color, but has no effect on the color for the other parts when adding to letter particles? I am putting the light in front just like part one where it works? Any reason why the others would have no effect? I need this done today but I am familiar enough with AE to make adjustments?
I noticed part one doesn’t have the transparent background in the letter particle comp like the other 3….could this be why?
Make sure you’re adding the point light to four different compositions, all titled “Letter particles” (confusing yes). I’ve tested all the texts and if the four lights are added colors should work. If you’re still having problems I can send you the updated version so you can have your project done by today.
I did add it to all four, for some reason no luck on the other 3 at all? If you could send that it would be awesome, otherwise I was just going to use a change color in Premier of FCP but prob wouldn’t look as sharp…

Sorry probably a stupid question, still quite new to after effects. I have a red cross on the non prerendered version. Looks like it’s on the particular layer. How do I get rid of this when rendering? I have the particular plugin installed

It seems like you don’t have a “full” version of particular installed, rather you have a trial version. It’s also possible that there was some sort of problem when you installed it.
There are two ways ways you can go about fixing this:
You can use the pre-rendered version of the project which will work just fine. Or you can contact Red Giant (the creator of particular) and try to figure out what’s wrong with particular.

I found the problem, it seems that I made two “text 03’s” and placed the wrong one in the editable comps folder. The project should be updated shortly, but you can search “text 03” and get to the real placeholder. Thank you for pointing out this mistake.

Thanks. More problems Graham… a prerendered .mov has “This is cipher” in it. So I cant overwrite it.
I’m working to fix this right now, again thank you very much for pointing out these flaws. I apologize for all of this, I shouldn’t make such a big mistake like this one.

Nice. Are the characters fully editable (is this from Particular), or are the character-particles previously rendered material from Cinema 4D?

Yes everything in this project was made in after effects: the letter particles were made in particular 2.0. Everything is fully customizable.
