Hey sorry for the delay… have updated the download file to include a video tutorial that should help you when working with the file. Make sure you drag the time indicator through the timeline, as near the end of the composition you’ll just see the entire map combined… earlier on in the composition is where all the animation takes place. You should see all the different provinces in the layer panel though. Hope that helps!

Thank you, I downloaded it again to see the instruction. However it’s not clear how to do it. To clarify I’m trying to accomplish the effect you do at 17-25 seconds where the larger map goes into a specific region. And then I want to add text to include some information abbot the region. Are you able to include a video tutorial for this part by chance?

My map kits aren’t a commentary on border disputes or UN mandates… I have to make a call on each one and they usually boil down to time, work usability and sales potential. Like I’ve included the Republic of Ireland in the UK Map Kit even when it isn’t a part of the UK… as the British Isles would look slightly strange without it. Likewise, including the entirety of Taiwan as just one section of a larger map felt like a wasted opportunity. It is easy to add or remove your own areas though… you can even add Japan as part of China if you like, or get rid of Hong Kong… whatever you prefer!

Although the jury is still out on the status of Taiwan, it does meet all the criteria of being a self-contained country… so I decided not to include it as part of the People’s Republic of China. Sorry! Relatively simple fix though… just duplicate any province, delete all the masks from it, shy the layer, pop a map of China in the background, scaled, rotated and positioned to match the current setup… mask around the outline of Taiwan while that duplicated layer is selected. Get rid of the map, turn the layer back on, rename it to Taiwan… and you’re good to go. Hope that helps!
