@ ADNCDN you can open two project sometime.
@ ADNCD this is what u will do, open your after effect, open your first project and go to film and click on import, u will see file… open it and you can open second project

How would you use this in a project that is already open? Can after effects have two projects open at the same time?
If you don’t want to overload your main project, leav only those transitions that you need .My advice: open the project with transitions, distinguish transitions what you need, click “File => Dependencies => Reduce project” After that project will remain only chosen transitions, and click “File => Save as” You get project only with several transitions. And after that, add this project in you main project.

This doesn’t work in CS6 :/ Says the project file doesn’t exist every time I try to open it?
Just an update for any users who are using CS6, you will probably have to rename the file as that has fixed the issue for me.
