Hello. I have a problem with Word Reveal project. I use the After Effect CS4 and I have installed the tropcode particular, but when I open Words Reveal I have a message missing particular. I hope you could help. Thank you very much.

I have downloaded “Word Reveal”, which had a missing fx “Trapcode Particular”, so I downloaded a trial version of it and now it works, but it has a big red cross through it.
I’m new to all this and wonder if there is a way of viewing and rendering this project without the red cross through it? I don’t think I would have bought it if there isn’t?

The red cross is a watermark created by the trial version.

Could you just give me the way to make the video 12 seconds to 24s ? Because Time Stretch only slow down words
Go to Composition -> New Composition.Make sure the “HDTV 1080 25” preset is selected and set the duration to 24s
Now drag and drop the “Main Composition” into this new composition,and apply the Time Stretch to the layer (Stretch Factor 200%)
This way everything will be affected.

One option would be to use the “Time Stretch” tool,although this works best when making small changes of few seconds.
How do I get the Particular plug-in – I didn’t realize I needed until after I imported the project. I just bought it to drop my logo in for my website. Thank You!

When I RENDER the video, the Red X appears. How do I take it off?
The Red X is a watermark by Trapcode Particular.You will need the registered version to remove this.
Downloaded this the other day and am really impressed with it. Very easy to amend and adapt to your own project (in my case a family video of a relative who passed away). Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

doh... I’m embarrassed to admit that the Words layer WAS set to visible. Thx
the logo is made of two different text layers – one is 200px, auto leading and the 2nd line is immediately below at 59px, auto leading. I’m familiar with this feature in Photoshop so know how it works but not sure why it’s affecting the text output here. Also, the logo edges are getting cut off. Suggestions??

I’m still new to AE so please forgive the rookie questions…
1) No matter how I render this, I end up with seeing the words play one after another in a horizontal line and THEN randomly like they’re supposed to do. Don’t know that I explained that very clearly but, why would that be?? How would I get rid of that initial first string of words? (I haven’t changed any of the settings; just the words)
2) Also, I added an extra line to the logo but it isn’t showing up. How would I do that?

Sounds like you have the “WORDS” layer set to visible,so make sure the layer is hidden by clicking the “eyeball” in the far left corner of the layer.
Are you using just text as a logo? If so,i would suspect the text settings are a bit off.If you are using just text,make sure the “leading” isn’t set too high (just under the colorpickers in your text tools)
Yep, I installed it in the 64 bit folder instead of the x86. That solved it.

I have Trapcode Particular version 2 and when I open up the file ‘words_reveal.aep’ it says that I don’t have Trapcode Particular and that I need to have the plugin installed…does version 2 not work?

The project was created using Particular 2.0.0 so it should work fine.Make sure your Particular is installed correctly.
Check “Effects -> Trapcode – Particular”
Awesome file, works exactly as advertised (assuming you have the Trapcode plugin.) However, my only criticism is the lack of control you have over the randomness of the word placements. After playing with multiple different settings, I just couldn’t keep some words from repeating themselves right next to each other, which partially defeats the effect I was going for with such a random word overload. If there was some way to keep this from happening then I’d give it 5 stars.
Side note .. the creator of this project was very quick to respond to my questions through email and helped me to figure out some of the finer points of this project file. Awesome customer service from UniqueFX.

Hello, just bought it and works perfectly – I’m gonna use it as a header in a site, however I was wondering if there’s also any way to be done in Flash instead of After Effect – a swf file would use less resources on internet. Please let me know if there’s a way!

You can render out flash video files with After Effects. If you can’t add a .flv to your site i think you could import it to flash and make a .swf
