Just bought this. If i have a graphic for the cd label…will i be able to put that on the cd in the project
Disregard my first question. I figured that out. My next question is for the “backside back outside” comp. I have to put 3 pics there but I don’t understand how to put them in their respective area. i.e. “spine outside” and “back outside”

If you just put your pics on that model, you will see the result and after that you can do adjustments.

Hi,
Element 3D works fine, if you have all necessary requirements: a Nvidia or AMD graphic card. An Intel Graphic card is currently not supported. And the newest update of E3D. Just see the “Support” tab above. I also wrote a trouble-shooting document in the download file, that helps and explains it all (if some users would only read it )

bro i guess element 3D is not working properly and no 3D cd disc flying , only retro logo is animation but CDS are not animatiing

Try downloading the newest version of E3D. Are you using a nvidia or a AMD video graphics card ?

There are 2 versions for E3D: v.1 and v.2. Which version are you using ?
on my laptop im using 2 and on my pc im using 1 but on laptop the sotftware hangs it self dose not respond but on my computer everything is running fine but no CDs are animatiing only the retro logo at the end comes up

Hello, I love this template and downloaded it about a year ago, when I messed around with it the first time it worked perfectly, absolutely awesome—Now, when I open it, there is no 3D model; only the background is visible and the null control layers. When I click to relink the 3D elements in Scene Setup it just says “No model” and there are no missing files under in the relink window. Any ideas? Is it just an Element error?
I’m using a Mac, Version 10.11 After Effects CC2015 Element Version 1.6.3 (I’ve also installed the VideoCopilot patch that’s supposed to work with CC2015)
Hm… I don’t run AE2015 at this moment. Have you tried it with a previous version of AE, save it there and open it up in 2015 ? E3D should verify and relink missing models and textures normally.
I am having a similar problem as the others. I purchased the digipack template & when I open the AE project, i have to relink the files.. That works no problem.. All of the text is there as well as the badge.. but the CD Jewel Case will does not appear.. I have tried several times and on 3 different computers.. I am using the latest version of E3D.. Please help..

Actually, I sent you an email.
3 different computers… – that’s strange. Element refuses to do its job, if the graphic card isn’t supported (see the support tab). Also, you have to use at least AE CS4. Can you see the model in within the “Scene Setup” window ? Or are you seeing any other 3D objects ? If not, then maybe you should also re-register E3D.

If you are an 3D experienced artist and understand the play between Cinema 4D and Element 3D, then you can do this difficult task. Otherwise I would say: sorry, not possible…

Hey man, I just bought it and I am running into the same problem with AE telling me it can’t find the models and trying to relink them by hand doesn’t seem to work as it doesn’t find anything in the folder. However, I CAN import the models by hand in elements 3d, but trying to apply artwork inside element 3d only results in ridiculess weirdness so far. Please help! Liebe Grüße aus Ösiland!

I got it to work. I imported all of the models by hand in E3D. Then, I closed the project again and opened your template. Every model but one was suddenly linked and the last one worked for relinking as well. But I do have another question: I just could not figure out which of all that stuff in the composition is receiving that shadow from the digipak? I’d like to turn that off as I want to insert that composition into another project.

The ‘shadow’ you mentioned seems to be “Ambient Occlusion”. You can switch it off in the “Global Controls” layer.
In the AE project file are you able to change timing or make your own key frames for custom movements? Thanks.
Yes. You can change the timing to your needs. Also, there is a project included, from which you can start making your own custom animations.

Hi, thanks for purchasing the item. Did you downloaded the latest version of Element 3D ? You need the latest version, otherwise you’ll get some errors.

When I open it, it states that I am missing 10 effects. All it shows it a red screen. The sample images you have don’t even show. I am using adobe cc. tried the different versions. Please help. email: Carswell.Reid@gmail.com

Hello I just bought this and for some reason it is telling me it the model files are missing and I can’t relink them. They are greyed out. It linked the Textures no problem. Any idea what could be happening. Thanks!

You have to choose the folder, in which the model files are in, not the model files themselves.
Thank you for your response. I do have the latest E3D 1.6.2 . I also have tried choosing the folder that the model files are in. For some reason I get the same error. I did same process for relinking textures and it did it no problem. Do I have to have C4D ?
No, you don’t have to own Cinema… It seems E3D can’t recognise the C4D files. Are there the suffixes ”.c4d” at the end of the file names ? Is the folder maybe somehow protected by the your system ? Maybe you should install a Demo of Cinema 4D and “verify” the files by simply open them through the demo…
