Hi. Those are .mov video files, so you don’t need any “special” software to look at them. You can use them with After Effects, Sony Vegas, Final Cut and any similar video editing software.

If you want to use them in your intro for every new video tutorial, you should get the Multi-use license.

You don’t have to used any keying effect to do the job. You just have to change the blending mode of the clip to “screen” or “add” (as said in the preview).

You have that option in the timeline, just next to the “source name” column. It is titled “mode”.

Just type “blending modes after effects” on Youtube and you will see how easy it is.

I think that in iMovie and Final Cut there is not such a feature to loop a clip automatically (like in After Effects). But in Motion you can do it in the behavior section, under Retiming. There is a loop behavior, or you can go to the Properties tab and under timing you can choose an End Condition such as loop.

Another approach can be the simple copy/paste. Just duplicating the clip and moving it in the timeline until it start at the beginning of the original clip. The clips are 15 seconds long, so just 4 copy/paste action fill an entire minute.

Sure. In the trackheader of the snow clip (in the timeline) you will find a small alpha sign. Click on it and choose the desired blending mode. “Screen” or “Add” works perfectly in this occasion!

To work with the package on Premiere just put the snow clip on your timeline, select it and open the Opacity (Drop Down) in the Effect Controls panel. There you have the Blend Mode list and you can set it to “Screen” or “Add” or just play a little with it to get some interesting effect

It actually can be use in multiple image editing software. If you load a clip in Photoshop, you’re going to get a “Smart Object”. So in there, you can select any frame you want and use the clips to add snow to any “static” image…
