I checked the files – they are not damaged. Most likely you need to update the Quick Time or other codecs

on Frost element 01 – 06 the files import into AE as a green layer- when I blend in screen and lum mode the green does not disappear. pls help

Yes, this video is no alpha channel. Use SCREEN blending mode and animate the transparency of your video.
With screen blending mode the transition is quite transparent when it finishes and I can see the layer beneath the transition layer.
