Actually, you’re right, I use a french version of AE CS4 . So the problem is about translation of english expression.
So, maybe another french guys can have the same problem :
SLIDER CONTROL
In English : wiggle(10,effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”))
In French : wiggle(10,effect(“Paramètre glissière”)(“Curseur”))
LENS FLARE
In English : thisComp.layer(“LensFlare”).effect(“Lens Flare”)(“Flare Center”)
In French : thisComp.layer(“LensFlare”).effect(“Lumière parasite”)(“Centre de la source lumineuse”)
In English : w = thisComp.layer(“LensFlare”).effect(“Lens Flare”)(“Flare Brightness”); [w,w]

It’s because you’re using After Effects version in different than English language. When the project is opened in a different language such as French, the name of ”Slider” becomes “Curseur”, however the expression that links to it is still looking for “Slider”. This causes the expression to not work, and produces an error message upon opening the project. This is not unique to the slider control either, all the names of expression controls will change.
There are 2 ways to overcome this problem. The first method is to go through each expression that links to an expression control, and change the name to it’s alternate language counterpart. Or to open the project in it’s native language. You can read more about the second method here

Just purchased this – looks great in the dark & light version! I am using AE CS4 for the MAC , at the end instead of logo flying off like it comes on in the beginning, it does a camera shake – then breaks apart. That is not what your template shows. How come?
Sounds strange. I’ve used this project several times myself and never experienced anything like that. Also none of almost 600 other buyers had reported this kind of problem. but it could be that i just didn’t understand you. can you please send me video preview of your problem?

Sent you the Sound FX file. That’s how you do it – request the sound fx and then combine that with your audio or purchase the one that I used in preview. I don’t have rights to distribute the altered audio with the sound FX already mixed in.

Did you Rendered or just exported the video? Follow the instruction in this tutorial: http://videocopilot.net/basic/#10 (look for the section Nr10. called Rendering) that should explain basics about rendering from After Effects.

After it’s been customized and exported as video file – you can use in whatever video editor. But to be able to replace the logo you need After effects CS3 or newer. I can customize it for you for small additional fee. Once you have purchased the file – please contact me through my profile page and i’ll let you know how to deliver your logo file.
