This was such a cool template and very well organized. From the comments, I was a little worried that it wouldn’t work with E3D V2, but it did for me. I never had the V1 plugin, but I did download the V1 Icons & Primitives from Video Copilot so maybe that’s the key.
There was some minor tweaking I had to do on the custom texture channel in E3D for the Shiny Illumination Custom Layer to make the EQ grid pattern look like the preview video, but other than that, it just works as long as you have some basic knowledge of E3D.
If it helps anyone else, here are my settings: UV Repeat: 0.81, 2.29. UV Offset: -0.86, -1.73. I’m running a IMAC Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3. It rendered in about 20-30 minutes. I’m guessing the 4K would take a good hour.

It is a shame that you didn’t put the fact that Element was required for this to work as it seems to be a very expensive plugin which I can’t justify purchasing for this project.
Hi, thank you for your message. Yes, as mentioned in the item specifications and product description the template requires Element 3D V1 Plugin, as this is used to generate the 3D logo.

When I open in Element 2.2.0 the LED lights do not work. When I open it up in Element 2.2.2 (with or without the patch) it won’t open and says “crash occurred while invoking effect plug-in “Element”. I’ve got a 2014 Mac Pro

The problem should be related to Element 3D plugin which needed for the project, this is a separate plugin to Element 3d V2. The template is designed for Element 3D and not Element 3D V2. As explained in the item description.
If you happen to own a license to Element 3D V2, you may contact support at videocopilot.net, and maybe ask for the previous version, usually they are very helpful and in many cases they give the previous version for free, since you own Element 3D V2.
I reinstalled Element version 1 and it works! Thanks that’s made my day

Bro, you need to update your product or let the buyers know that it only doesn’t work on every computer.
It should work with most computers since it was tested on multiple pc configurations including a 7 year old pc. As with any video project it will benefit from a more recent powerful computer, although this is mostly for the 4k version. My laptop is only rendering black objects and my desktop which has a 650 gtx video card says that the GPU isn’t sufficient enough and my program crashes. All im trying to do is render a full hd project. What should I do?
Do you have the latest updated plugin of element 3d installed? The latest version of the plugin has fixed some issues, since sometimes there are incompatibility issues related to the software itself. I have just a small problem with your project. I cant personalize it. I put my logo but when I m going to render it..the logo doesn t see…what happen? and the music happen the same. thankx
Hey, this really is a nice template so I’m satisfied with my purchase. How ever, how can I change the camera animation if my BG music is like 11sec? I want the camera movements to fit well with the audio.
Hi you may need some AE knowledge to edit camera movements, since the template is made to be used as it is, although slight changes can be done very easily.
Just double click on Main Comp. There you will find 6 camera layers which you can drag to position how you want or even edit keyframes and animation if you are experienced in AE. (Note that the tiny particles layer wont work properly if you change camera since the particles are pre-rendered. So I’d suggest to switch the ‘particles’ layer off if you’re going to make changes to the camera.

I’ve also got the problem of FastNOC with the 4K Version.
I updated every driver and Elements 3D but after Effects crashes at about Frame 20/500.
I’ve also got a Geforce 770 with an Intel Core i7 @3,4GHz and 16 GB of RAM. So it should work but it doesn’t.
Can you give me another advice because I need the 4K version? That’s why I bought this project

Hi, yes your specifications should be good for the template. Can I ask what version of Ae you’re using for rendering? Also as a codec format I would try to render it in .png sequence or jpeg. This should give good results and if it crashes you can continue from where it got to. Technology is still a bit shakey when it comes to handling 4k especially when it comes to 3d rendering in AE it’s not 100% stable. But with the right codec format and settings it shouldn’t be a problem with your specifications.
I use CS6. I just tried to render it in .PNG but it crashes after 8 Frames. With my laptop(!) it goes until 8 seconds. I think that someting happens there because on all of my PCs when I click in the project on one frame after 8 seconds it crashes. I don’t know what to do anymore
Hi, following your feedback I tested this again using a laptop. So its not too powerful in performance. 16gb ram, and 2.4ghz cpu. I had no problem with the rendering, it took exactly 1 hour 33 minutes. It is important to not use the pc as much when you start rendering, since it will be using most of the power for the render. As a format I used Quicktime, then a PNG codec. Try also changing the bit rate of the project to 8bits instead of 16. this can be changed from the project window, by clicking on the icon named 16bcp. It will still give good results but should be much less demanding on your pc.
Even with these preferences After Effects crahes. Is it possible that I do have a corrupt file because I just tried rendering it in HD (that worked) but the equalizer has no movement?!
That’s weird. Have you followed the included help video to set it up? This was tested on multiple systems and it worked perfectly. It could be possible that it is corrupted (although very unlikely). I also went ahead and tested the 4k version on CS6 version (since we normally use CC for rendering), it worked fine as well. Note: you need to have the music file imported as explained in the video for it to work. You can maybe try redownloading it from videohive if you think something is corrupted. If it still doesn’t work, please contact me through my email, from the profile page contact box. I will send you the file personally to make sure it’s not getting corrupted on it’s way.

Hi, I can do this for you, but there is charge of 60 Eur for 3d logo renders. Due to render time, time of set-up, etc. You will also need to send me the music file. this reallyl is bumming me out.
i’ve got a decent machine. I can render the ‘hd’ version (1080) in about 20 minutes, but the 4k? it crashes adobe completely. and I’m running a GTX 770 video card. 1300 cuda cores. Can’t believe it won’t render
do you have anyone else having this problem? I don’t think it’s your template. i just think it’s too heavy to render ray trace at 4k unless you’ve got a BEAST of a card
Hi, first of all thank you for your purchase and I’m glad you like it. Yes the 4K version is a bit demanding since its 3D not just 2d layers. That’s why I included the HD versions in a completely separate composition so you won’t be affected by the 4K’s performance if the pc find it difficult to handle it. But in a few years it should be a breeze to render in 4K.
That said, I’ve rendered in 4K on my laptop, which has a GTX 750M with 4gb ram. Your card should be even better at doing the job (that’s a very nice card for element 3d projects). When crashes occur with element 3D its normally due to GPU ram performance from my experience.
My tip would be to try and update all the drivers and making sure you have the latest version of Element 3D installed. I’ve tested similar projects on my desktop pc in the past (with similar specifications) and had similar crash problems to yours. Updating element 3d really helped.
Also, note that the h.264 format doesn’t work properly with 4K, something like jpeg 2000 format should give better results, or even png.

I didn’t know there was an issue with h.264 and 4k. that might very well be it. i’ll render to PNG and see if that works.
The card I have should be plenty, i agree. it blows right through the 1080 version.
