Thank you! I actually upgraded the project without marking it 2.0 about a month ago. The new features added the Quickflip and Page Design, with a couple other small improvements. I do have a minor update to the book that will be released next week that addresses a glitch people were facing with the French versions of AE.

Hello, as the page turns it is not possible, but once the page is fully open you can cut to the second camera and animate that camera on the page however you wish. Just to be clear though, on the second camera move, which I called “Zoom”, the camera is zoomed in on the page by default, and the rest of the book will not be visible.

So for example, if on page 2 you wanted to animate the camera you could use the second camera set up once the page has flipped open, but if you move the camera too far vertically down it will reveal that the rest of the book isn’t there, only page 2 and your page 2 pop-ups. Basically, as long as you keep the camera tilted so that you can’t see under the page you’ll be good! For the texture on the page, I just released an update to the project file that allows you to easily do that.

And yes, you can keyframe the background or add an image to the background. In the current version there is a basic ramp effect on a solid in AE that is controlling the gradient, so you can absolutely keyframe that.

If you want to add custom elements to the foreground and background you can do that as well. All you would have to do is disable the solid layer controlling the background gradient and place your own image/background beneath that comp.

Actually, you may have been one of the few who purchased the project file before I had updated the versions to only include CS5.5, CS6 and CC. That is completely my mistake that I didn’t catch the “3D Point Control”error that some people were getting in CS5, and I personally will reimburse you for the purchase. Please message me at kovar.thomas@gmail.com and I’ll get it taken care of for you and also throw in some extras to make this right!

One more thought, make sure the file is completely done downloading from VideoHive before unzipping, that is another explanation for why you could potentially be missing files.

Hi I downloaded it again and although the file size was the same the unzipped files were complete, the first time there was no tutorial folder either, which leads me to believe it is an issue with winrar. Needless to say it all works fine now and after watching your tutorials and having a little play it’s an amazing project, thanks a lot. We may be back to buy the full license if the project gets the go ahead.
