Hello,

I’m having trouble customizing the template Urban Destruct 2, since I have three videos with 1:20 minutes each. how can I change the project in order to extend the duration to see the 3 videos in full?

Thanks, Joao Lopes

Hi, when I render the selection there is a problem with the movie (blinking black monitors) at 00:42 seconds. I saw the same problem on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vzd3O2KPkDQ . First, the left wall and then the central wall are black for a few seconds. I can’t see the same problem in the project.

Hi Minev,

If you take a look at the composition called “Scene-Over the Wall” you will find 3 layers called “Black Behind Screen”. There are at layer 8, 15 and 22. If you click the “eye” icon to the left of the layer you can turn the visibility of these layers off. This will stop the flashing black.

The problem comes from after effects being unable to render those layers in in the right order sometimes and as they are very close to other layers, they often jump to the front of them and “flash” when after effects struggles to render the layers in order.

I realize this reply is a late but I hope it helps.

Hello, I’m thinking of buying the package, but wonder if it comes with Sound Fx and the Track?

Hi Wesley,

As mentioned in the description, the track is not included I’m afraid, but I can provide the Fx track to send you.

hope this helps,

thanks for your interest

when i render out i get this error….“the directory originally specified in the selected output module no longer exists” why would this be happening?

Hi dbird32,

Firstly, thanks for your support!

Now…In your render queue window, under your movie to render, click on the blue text, next the ‘Output To:’ option and choose a place to save the render to on your hardrive with enough space…should work.

Hope that helps,

Best,

Kenzii

If that doesn’t work dbird32, just go to your composition that you want to render so that it’s visible on screen, go to the composition menu at the top of the screen…

...Choose ‘composition>make movie’ . It will add it to the render queue….

...Now, prepare the new output settings, choose a place to save, quality etc (maybe check inside the previosu listed renders for accurate settings to use)...

...now make sure that the new render is the only one ‘Ticked’ to be rendered…and click the RENDER button!

Hope that helps if the first suggestion doesn’t work out.

Kenzii

Hey kenzii love the work tried checking some of your stuff but the main site seems down or at least i couldn’t access it..do you do custom projects about the same lenght as this urban destruction 2 and if so could you give me a quote ,thanks in advance.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for your kind comments!

I’m having some issues at the moment with my site but you can find it at this url http://cargocollective.com/kenzii

My apologies for delayed response. I’d like to talk with you further about your needs and see if I can help.

I’m actually out of office at the moment and will be back around Aug 15th. In the meantime, please feel free to get a detailed breif together, including as much detail as you can about what you need (also, timeframes and budget) and email it to lee@kenzii.com.

Should I need to know any more, I’ll contact you and ask so that I can give you an accurate quote.

Many thanks Graham,

Great stuff fat_denim!

Thanks for sharing!

if smb wants to put original sound of preview, you can use Moyea importer for Adobe Premiere Pro. even its trial version. or just use some flv converter, but there might be some quality loss.

also i had same problems with the second wall placeholder. i’ve just deleted whole placeholder, copied the backgrond from the first wall and pasted it vertically. added some roughen borders, color correction and it looks quite fine now

im gonna use this project in my game video. ill post a link on it in few weeks i hope

gj kenzii

I bought this video a while back and am just getting around to working with it.

Its great but the biggest problem I am having is with the individual photos on the concrete wall.

(between 0:15 – 0:25)

The images I import are overlaid with a texture that makes the quality very rough and hard to see.

I’ve tried hiding separate layers but cant seem to get rid of this masking effect.

Can you recommend a solution to make these images more clear?

Thanks.

Here is a rough sample of my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSF2-fyVF8Q

Hi MaineMediaPros,

There’s 2 ways to do this.

1. If you want to also keep your new image within the shape of the underneath grunge layer, but more visible, do this: -Open the comp called ‘Scene-Wall Intro’ in the timeline window, change layer 11 (IMAGE/VIDEO02), from Overlay, to Normal in the layer mode settings. -Select the layer above, layer 10, and precompose it (Layer>Precompose) -Then open it up to find the grunge layer. Duplicate it 4-5 times and position it at different horizontal spaces to tray to cover the ‘gaps’ in the graphic, so it becomes more solid. -Now back in the ‘Scene-Wall Intro’ comp in the timeline, your new image you wanted to put in there will show through alot stronger, but still ‘fit’ in the grunge graphic underneath.

2. If you’re not too bothered about your new image staying inside the confinds of the grunge layer, simply go inside the ‘Scene-Wall Intro’ composition inthe timeline, change the ‘Track Matte’ setting of layer 11 (IMAGE/VIDEO02) from Luma Matte to No Track Matte.

In both these cases, you may need to hit the middle button located at the bottom left corner of the composition timeline windows (when you hover over it says ‘Expand or collapse the transfer control panes’), this will make the panel visible to access the layer modes and track matte settings.

Hope this helps,

Just email me if you need further direction.

wow bro this is sick im goin to by this for sure do u think u can teach to or someting but i think your very busy so dont push yourself i do somestuff with after effects too but im only 14 and mine are like no were near as good as this it must have tookin like days to make

@zaeem, thanks man!! yeah it took about 22 hours to complete, happy you like it! You’re 14 and getting into after effects..thats great, you have a fun road ahead of you!

Thankyou Kenzii for allowing me to be in awe of your amazing mind and creativity.

You are without a doubt, now one of my heros!

*Know that we also have to seek consent to use the track, however can you please advise me of any info regarding the sound fx used at the start..

How come I am getting a “After Effects erro: attempt to get a value from a time stream with no key values. (29:36) at around 15 seconds in CS3 . I don’t have this problem in CS4 BUT it doesn’t render, said there’s an error with rendering.

The result of passion and imagination smashed together :) oh and hours and hours of effort haha

thank you for your reply but i cant seem to get hold of him

where can i download the song? (da octopuss funki slow motion)?

Hi gardash,

Da Octopusss gave me permission to use the track in the preview only, it’s not available with the project.

If you want to use the track for commercial purposes, it’s best to ask Da Octopusss.

Hope that helps,
