there is a pre-rendered project if you don’t have Optical Flares. However, you need to have Trapcode Form in order for this project to work.

Yes, you can use the template without the OpticalFlares plugin since there is a pre-rendered version of the plugin in the pack.

Just make sure you have the Trapcode’s Form since that plugin is in charge of particle simulation. Without it you can’t use the project.

To disable the black bars go to the Final 1920×1080 Comp, and disable or delete the 3rd layer in the Comp named – border. Now you will have full screen 16:9 effect
