Hey, it’s a really nice template.
I am curious about the rendering time.
After I purchased the template, when I downloaded and opened it, I saw there was a record of the render time (I believe it should be your rendering time in 2012), it just took only 6 and half minutes to render Final 1080p_14 images.
I have i7-3930K, 32GB RAM, HD6800 video card, CS6, but it took me about 20 minutes to render.
May I know what kind of the machine and the spec you have?

Hi Mate, Great project. Few questions.
1) Most of the pics i have are horizontally taken. Can i change orientation of all placeholders to be horizontal? How is this done?
2) I intend to use only 9 images, so it is simple as deleting the other placeholders, so that they dont show up empty after rendering?

Sorry, but the orientation cannot be altered. The frames are taken from footage so can’t be easily changed.
The easiest way to create a slideshow with 9 images is to export the entire sequence and then cut it together in an editing program (such as imovie). Then export your desired sequence. You can attempt to delete elements within After Effects but only try if you are familiar with how after effects works.

I have a video in image 9 (sequence 11) and it plays backwards in the final comp.
Not sure why. I’ve tried to do some investigating, but I figure it may take you 5 mins to work out… as opposed to me taking all day on it.

It’s just someone talking so I cannot work out if the whole video is playing backwards, but it’s very obvious that at least the audio is backwards.
An update on this problem: It plays fine at the “Sequence 11” level. But then when I play that sequence in “Final Sequence” it’s playing in reverse, and obviously beyond that in “Final 1080p_14 images” it’s still backwards.
Hi there, a very strange problem. After placing your video in the timeline, right click and select time, then time reverse layer. See if that makes it play in the right direction! Cheers, Mark

If you have latest version of VLC (available free online) it will open flv files.

apologies, 1. Yes, it’s an After Effects Project so requires Adobe After Effects (v.CS5 or newer) 2 and 3.. If you are familiar with After Effects, you can export to whatever video format you desire. After Effects is bundled with a nifty program called Media Encoder which has presets for any video format imaginable.

Hmmm…Try downloading again. Make sure you open the After Effects file within the downloader folder. Don’t move files around as assets might disconnect (causing the colour bars in the image).

Your sales copy says: “Up to 42 image / video placeholders (options for 14, 28 and 42 images)” Does this mean that i can double/triple the time of the project if i use 28/42 placeholders?
I´m asking because the length of Your demo is a bit short for my purpose. Or are there any alternative ways to make/strengthen the project longer to say 3.00min.?

Hi Matt,
The 42 image comp is 3 mins 43 secs in length. Hopefully this suits your purposes. Alternatively, the 28 image comp is 2 mins 35 secs.

Mark, sorry but this spent me 3 hours and destroyed my PC. Neither latest Windows Media Player, nor Quicktime plays this FLV. And if you look on the net, you end up with viruses or bunch of useless softwares… Can you please port this tutorial in another format please. Thank you!

my computer is windows 7 and here is what I get 4 Attachments Image Image
my after effect is cs6cc and when I try to render I get this error “k:\photoshop\final sequence fam.mov”unable to open file(-1610153459)

Hi, I’ve downloaded your amazing template but is having a world of problems with it. From my AE CS6, I was prompted with a message saying “this project must be converted from version 11.0.1 (Mac 64) the original file will be unchanged.” Afterwhich, I was warned that 24 files are missing. Pls help 
Hi there, the warning is standard as the project was created in CS5. Just try opening again and then ‘save as’. Let me know how you go. Cheers, Mark
Thanks for your prompt reply Mark. There’s another prompt message saying “Ray tracing on the GPU requires an improved NIVIDIA graphic card and CUDA 5.0 and later. This may require installing the current display driver. For now, ray tracing will use the CPU.”

In regards to the raytrace warning, this project does not use raytracing, so I think that is a general warning. Just ignore.
