can you update your project in envato elements to one with the latest trapcode form? i noticed “trapcode” was missing in after effects so i went to Maxon application and uninstalled Red Giant and Universe. Then I reinstalled them. Now Trapcode is back. I downloaded an After Effects template from Envato that has the “trapcode form” plugin in it. when i open the template, a pop up box in After effects warns me: “setting from an earlier version of Form need to be migrated. Please press the ‘migrate settings’ button in Form in the effects control window to complete the migration. Form: Settings migration required.” So I press ok. then I’m greeted with another pop up that says “After Effects error: params.Warnings.SettingsMigrationNecessary (512) ( 25 :: 241)”. So I press ok. I find a layer in after effects that has “form” on it and i press the orange button that says “migrate settings” and when I do that i get another pop up that says: After Effects error: crash occurred while invoking effect plugin-in “Form”. (So I press ok again). the weird thing is, if i try to use “form” from scratch, it doesnt crash. it only crashes in this template.

this animation does not work with newest version of trapcode so was a waste of my money. PLEASE DO NOT BUY unless the animation is updated.
Sorry to hear that, but that’s not true. Trapcode Form 3 have Migration Tool wich supports V2. This template is working the same way without any problems in Trapcode Form 3.
? Does the Trapcode Form plugin just Verision 2 or had to be the latest Version which is 2.2?

I just downloaded the trial version and it’s still showing that the plugin is missing on CC15. Any ideas why?
Trapcode Form v.2 isn’t included in After Effects. That’s why it’s in the Requirements section. You can’t use this template without this plugin, sorry. If you don’t want to buy everything, I can render out your logo for a small fee.

Great stuff, fell in love with it because it’s a perfect fit for my company. Only problem is, I’m not going to buy $200 Trapcode form v2 to use it. Something to think about, I’m sure I am not the only sale you’ve missed. Thanks for the great content and I hope in the future I can purchase one! =)
Just an update, I’ve downloaded Red Giant’s Trapcode form 2.0 TRIAL, so you can test it out or use this wonderful intro for a limited time, before you buy trapcode ( =P ). There is a trial button under the pic, click that and get it for Mac or Windows!

Hi, I’m struggling. I have opened the file ‘Distortion Logo V.1.1.aep’ and I’m advised that it contains 8 references to missing effects.
One I add the logo file, and go to ‘Final Comp’, the logo isn’t visible as shown in the video.

i tried it but it does not work i just get black distored stuff no nice image

I opened the AE file in CS6 and I get an error that it’s missing plugin ‘edge finder’
Sorry, this is third party plugin and it shouldn’t be there. My mistake. You can ignore it, because it doesn’t do anything.
