the solution in the comments works. However its pretty confusion for people who dont have much experience with Particular. Could you please include a video in this template to explain to people how to do it if they are using a more recent version of particular. Btw its not an issue with the version of AE any one is using, its an issue with the version of Particular they are using

@oddpost Go to the effect controls and alt-click on the Emitter > Position stopwatch. Then go to your layer en pick-whip the position of the emitter to the Position of the POSITION layer. (take the spiral to link it)

Hi Wynio and shanewalker17… I am having the same issue. I tried to follow the suggestion by shanewalker17 but I don’t know enough about After Effects.
I’ve done the migrate. Where do I alt-click? Is this is Effect Controls or in the Comp? Is it possible to have some slightly more detailed instructions Wynio?

Found a very simple solution to the issue folks are having where the newer Particular doesn’t carry over the position expression control. All you have to do is ‘migrate’ each of the three Particular layers, then go in to each and under the ‘emitter’ position, alt-click to turn expression on, then pick-whip to the slider ‘position’ null to re-link. Voila…it works!

Hey I also having problems with Trapcode 4 and CC2019. The position does not work. When opening the project, Trapcode tells that it needs to migrate settings from older versions. If I do, it tells me that it was not possible to migrate.
I really like your project. No chance to create a version for trapcode 4?

Hi So sorry for the late response! I personally use the older versions of AE like CS6 and the original CC unfortunately I don’t have particular 4 at the moment but possibly I will update this and other project at later date..
Hey there – i’m having this problem as BlackBow and DerrickPitts. The position doesn’t move at all, just grows from the middle and I feel like i’ve tried everything. AE CC19 issue? I’m on Particular 4.0.1.
Hi, sorry to hear that! I’m unable to try what is the problem since I don’t have the latest particular or AE, but I’ll look into it anyway

Yes of course refund is very ok Maybe if you install older AE temporarily and try with that.. sorry for this

Hi. I bought the project. I use After Effects CC 15.0.0 and Trapcode 3.0.3. But when I open the project, it does not move round in the middle. It just grows. Please help me immediately. Hi! Sorry to hear you got problems!! I’m not in my office now, only phone for this day… aargh i’m sorry… Did you check out the help file? I don’t have particular 3, i’m not sure if that is the problem though.. did you migrate the settings?
basically, you need to scale the paricular comp and maybe all the sprites too in the settings..
