Yeah, it’s not like it is a big secret, for effects like this it kind of always come to using Fractal Noise, in this case I use it to generate an animate matte that reveals on a layer, the rest is pure layering and post effects to of course make it look like it does.

Using the same matte layer to drive effects like blurs and displacement also adds a lot so keep that in mind.

Well, if it reveals the video in the same way as pictures, without trouble – I’d love to see it included in the example, before I purchase. But as I understand from your reply, it needs some tampering for a video clip to be displayed in the same fashion, or did I get it wrong?

Oh! you will have to excuse me, my reply was totally based on the fact that I thought you were asking me for technical details because I thought you were a fellow Author. From a client standpoint this details are invisible, so you don’t have to worry about that.

And yes it reveals video the same way it does pictures, because it’s just a placeholders in which you can put pictures, video or even other comps.
