Hi, we are working on it. This is actually a problem with the new update of After Effects. We are figuring out the alternative way to solve this issue. We do understand that this is causing a lot of trouble and thankful to you for being patient. We will release the update as soon as possible.
This issue has been fixed in AE CC 2018 (V 15). Updating to latest version of after effect will resolve your issue.
Hi. Will this script receive an update for CC 2020’s new feature, dropdown menus?
As you have noticed new drop down control can be used in many different ways. We are currently evaluating the many aspects of this control and how we can include it in mcontrol. You may expect an update but we do not have any timeline right now but definitely working on it.

We have tested and tried to regenerate the issue you are facing. We tried on windows as well as on mac. But in our end, it works completely fine. We agree there is some problem, it just we could not regenerate in our machine to look at. Please let us know if we are missing anything. I will also suggest reinstalling the script and see if that problem still appears. Also if you can try the script on a different machine if possible and let us know if the same problem appears. Meanwhile, we are trying to regenerate the same issue in our machine to look at. I hope you understand the limitation here.
I tried installing it on another PC of mine, but I still get the same bug. My system language is not English, can this be the problem?
Should not be. But let us check on that.
The plugin works fine on AE CS6, though.

We have found the issue. It is because of the latest update of After Effects UI update. It happens when the dropdown list is too long and overflows the screen size. We are working to fix it. Hope to release an update soon. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

Something is definitely wrong.
We do not see purchase tag in your Account. If you have purchased this script with a different account, please contact us with that account. Also, let us know the After Effect version you are using. As we have tested, this script works perfectly till the latest version (AE CC 2017 – V 14.2.1.34) of AE.
Is it me or does mControl not work on After Effects CC 2017?

Hi, Thank you for purchasing. It’s not possible with the current version of the Mcontrol. I will keep this in mind and will try to upgrade in next version. For position property, it can be done by separating dimensions and applying slider control to any dimension.
The refresh button does not work. I select a property and click refresh and nothing appears in the drop down list AE CC2015

Just bought this. Great script! Hopefully there will be a support for dropdown menus in future. One thing that I would like to do with mControl but cant do currently is to have the controls on the same layer your controlling. Why? Because sometimes it would be great to access some layer attributes via “effects controls” panel instead of needing to control everything from the layer itself. At the moment you cant do it with mControl as it thinks your doing something you shouldnt.

Thanks for your purchase and kind words. This script needs to read the project to show compositions available to work with. So to make it available as window dropdown was not possible as it would not read the project on the go. It needs to be loaded again if you add any new composition to the project. I am sorry that I was not able to find a proper solution for this. To be true right now I am not able to recall, why I restricted to apply controls for same layer. I will look into it and comeback with reason. Thanks once again.
I probably didnt explain the drop-down menu thing too clear. I ment that when there are drop-down menu’s in layer properties… Didnt test if those work so somehow I thought that mControl wouldnt support those. My bad if mControl support does support drop-down menus.
I have AE CC2015 and I tested mControl yesterday and it worked fine, but today when I tried it again nothin happens when I click the referesh button. Even if I choose a simple position value and click refresh nothing happens. What might be wrong?

mcontrol V 2.1 is out. Please download the latest version if you still have the issue. We have fixed the issue with AE CC 2015.
It seems good Is it possible to link the same property of several layers in the same control slider for example?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to connect same property of several layers to a same slider through this script. If it’s required you can easily do it by coping “expression only” from one layer and pasting to another layer. It will connect to the same slider control. Hope it helps.
