Hello, I need to create a project that will only use a tiny part of this template, the projector glows, and the strip and the stylistic overlays, its for a very wide projection 32:9 aspect, the only thing I need that is not in the project is for each frame in the strip have its timing offset a frame at a time , like real film is. Do you think this would be easy, or have an idea as to how I might achieve it?
Hello, I’m not sure I understand, but you can change everything you want. The project is well organized and the strips are completely modifiable in AE. One must have basic knowledge of the software.

I bought and downloaded this template yesterday and started today by just watching the tutorial straight through, it’s very clear and precise. This is my first experience with a template and I have only little experience with After Effects, but after watching the tutorial I am amazed at how easily things can be changed to make it unique and how easy the process is, so if your a beginner like me – don’t worry! You’ll be fine! Can’t way to finish this and see how it turns out, I have to make a showreel for college and it’s due next week and I’m confident this will stand out!

Hello,
Yes, but is not so easy… because on each comps are several layers to extend. You need basic knowledge of software and some patience to do so. Anyway… I hope I was helpful.

That is fine – if they extend do they run long or would they have to loop? Sometimes i see layers that extend but then they are pre comps with many elements that do not extend (prerendered stuff)
Now I’m doing some testing on the project.
I changed a placeholder length of 120 to 200.
You must extend 7 layers, move 2 layers, and change the length of two nested compositions. It is not difficult, but you must have patience.
The project has no video pre-renders.

Hi, I love this template and I am using it for a showreel project. I am customising everything now, putting in the relevant videos etc and changing the text but the one thing I am struggling to sort out is the text saying ‘Film Festival by Vectoria’ on the actual film strip? If I cant remove this then the template actually becomes totally useless to me as partly I dont want it to be obvious its a theme but also I am not using it for a film festival promo so how can I remove this?
UPDATE – its fine, I worked this out – for anyone else who is interested in this its under Misc02 in the assets folder and you change the relevant text
Hi, there is no problem. You just have to do the following: go to the folder “01-ASSETS-” and open the composition “Misc02”, there you can see the text you want to change, double click on the red layers below and edit or delete the text.
