Is this project pre-rendered or is the 3D part done completely in After Effects? I would probably need it if it’s done in After Effects, as a base for another similar project on the street.

I’m just wondering that…I was playing your demo on here, the video would kinda stop and continue for each segment.

The same thing exactly happened to the video I rendered too. Like legging? (the video would sort of stop 1sec and continue to play.

Hey MacMacer, I had a lot of fun with this project. I put a couple of extra Motion Works pre-keyed clips in it (girl walking a dog, etc), and a added a couple of more lights and signs for what I needed. Thanks for the tip on turning off the lights when working as well.

One thing I did add was to have the camera go a little bit further down the road and then rotate on the Y axis for an angled look back down the road. It was a nice little “yeah it’s really 3D” moment at the end. Then I flew the camera into the last sign for a fade. Anyway, I really liked the addition of a tiny little camera pan at the end to show off just how 3D it really is.

I was thinking too of trying to create cones of light for the lights with bugs flying around in the light cones (Lux with and alpha matte of bug particles from particular). I tried using fog as an alpha matte for lux once and it looked really cool.

Anyway, great project. I had a blast playing with it.
