how to add your own image in place of photo 1? when i do this, it just floats around the screen, i want it to replace photo 1 exactly, instead when i drop a custom photo into page 1 it doesn’t animate or anything, just stays in center of page!!!

You have to make sure to turn on the 3D on the layer, then it will be fine.

Unfortunately that is not possible. It is an After Effects template
After Rendering, Page 4 opacity drops to about 50% I see no programmed Opacity, and It does not happen on Page 1 -3 or when I scrub on page 4, only after I render the project. Please advise
This is an after effects error. Try changing the project to 16bpc, that should solve it.
Unfortunantly, I bought this a couple years ago and have never got it working, trying multiple combinations of 16b and 32b color, different output types and turning on and off layers, and I’ve never been able to get rid of the overlay that appears when page 4 transitions from #7 and #8. The images/video fade and some sort of overlay appears, but I cannot find it anywhere.
I have two versions of this file and it happens in both.

Ok, I see, render loseless and import into Premiere. I’ll have a try, sounds quick and dirty but may work not so badly indeed.
If I have more time to digg in your file, how much time do you think it would need to add an additional page, rule of thumb ?
That will depend on your level of skills .. But I would guess at least good 4-5 hours

Well, an easy way is to render the pages 2 times with diffirent photos. Then import the 2 files into the program. When the first file is finishing it’s last page, fade in the first pages of the second file.
That is an easy and quicker way. Other than that it is going to be too complicated and would require a lot of work.
Am I able to turn off the particles before the book opens?

Yes, you can with no problems at all =). Just disable the particles layers and you are good to go.

For “Braceface2007” and others.
To correct the problems of transition between the third and fourth page, you must activate the [x] [Use OpenGL] in the window [Render Settings]. Do not forget also to position yourself in the Tab “For Render” before starting the [Menu-> Composition-> Add to render queue].

Sorry I figured that out after I posted the question ,actually it is very easy to do ,didn`t take more than 2 minutes to do the necessary adjustment . For other people who would like to change the opening of the book from left to right ,you just need to put (-) before the Y axis .

FRENCH : J’ai remarquer le même problème que vous. Le Template n’est pas en cause. La raison est du à l’utilisation de script dans le Template. Adobe à malheureusement traduit les commandes dans son logiciel dans la langue de l’utilisateur. Les Scripts ne peuvent plus fonctionner dans les versions différent de la version US d’After Effects. J’ai du installer une version localisée en US et cela fonctionne très bien. Dans la version Française (ou autres qu’US, cela ne fonctionne pas. Par exemple, utilisé dans le script : “slider”, dans la version Française est traduite par “curseur”, évidement le script ne trouve pas la fonction.
US : I notice the same problem as you. The template is not in question. The reason is due to the use of script in the template. Adobe unfortunately translates commands into their software in the language of the user. Scripts can not work if Your version of After Effect is different from the U.S. version of After Effects. I had to install AE a localized version in U.S. and it works very well. In the French version (or other than U.S), that does not work. For example, used in the script: “slider” in the French version is translated by “cursor”, obviously the script does not find the function.

I had the same problem as Braceface2007. I tried several setting, but without any success. it’s a very nice project, but too expensive considering all the bugs.
I figure it out. You have to adjust the image, type and border in the page 3 timeline. Thanks.
When page 3 turns to page 4 – I get a reverse image of number 6 as it turns on the page. I noticed this in your original file. Is there a way to get rid of the reverse image as the page turns?
