It is pretty much unusable for fast slideshow creation.
1. Fastest way to make a slideshow – replace outer image files and do nothing inside AE other than render. In your slideshow one have to place all photos manually and then animate them.
2. There are placeholders missing: 5, 11, 18 and 38 – maybe this one appeared after project version conversion?
3. Ther’s no simple way to totally remove text garbage. Plates and grids still visible when disabling visibility of all layers in “Insert text here” precomps. To remove texts you must search through multiple precomps find buggers and then snipe them
4. One more little thing – would be great to have proxy comps for images – just for cropping purposes and then to have those proxies animated (scale, pan) – in this case you can work with images of different sizes without much pain.
To make long story short – while output looks great, this project needs an inner structure revamping to be really valuable for creators.
Hi unclep, thanks for your detailed feedback on this template. 1. This is true but each picture is different and a ‘pre-made’ movement of the camera won’t help at all. The only standard move I could do is a zoom in/out but in this way the project would be boring. 2. Although it seems that these placeholders are missing, they are not. That’s a small error of numbering (won’t affect you at all). 3. Yes, this is true and I’ve checked this. I will upload an updated version soon. 4. I am not sure what proxy comps means.

I’ve updated the project to CS5 and now is easier to customize it. Just insert your photos and you’re done. Also I’ve updated the Help files. Thanks for all the feedback
