How do I remove the black background without changing the blending options of the layer?

I don’t want to do that. I just need the counter. Can’t I just use the counter without the glass effect etc? I used the blending for now but that’s ridiculous that’s not optional?
Also I can’t type “5000000” to the counter 3 even when it supports 7 figures. Why?
You can use it without glass effect if you want. You can set glass elemets Size to 0 in Settings tab. This counter created by slider effect. Slider support values from -1000000 to 1000000. This is a technical feature of Ae and Pr
Ok do you take update suggestions then? 
Like add text labels with positioning (top, bottom, left, right), a simple counter with no “add ons”etc. as right now there is no simple counter without tweaking all addons to zero etc.
it drives me nuts to work with it, very close to canceling the buy and looking for something more flexible and simple, this seems overengineered
and obv leave a “checkbox” add glass effect and only then make us input the footage to the animation.
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions! We will try to add the necessary features in the next update. By the way, take a look at the “elements” category. There you can find counters and other elements separately without the glass effect
BEWARE! These infographics require you to place your footage inside their built in “Image/Video” tab – removing a lot of the freedom you get and adding loads of extra steps.
Unfortunately, these steps are necessary to create that glass effect and make your design unique. When it becomes possible to do this without additional video placeholders, we will definitely do it
