Double click on the “Photomotion – PS Actions.atn” – this will install our Photoshop actions (including AI Depth Map).

If you haven’t use them yet, you need to install Neural Filters first. In Photoshop, go to Filter -> Neural Filters -> Install Depth Blur

Then open the picture in Photoshop, go to Window -> Actions -> Photomotion -> [PM] Auto Depth. This will generate the depth map using AI.

I tried, but it gives me some strange results that don’t seem to be a correct depth map! –– Do you know this plugin > https://aescripts.com/quick-depth/. Could they work together ?

The depth you get from Photoshop should be the same AE is using, but if it isn’t, can you send us a screenshot to help@integnity.com so we can have a look?

And for the third party depth map makers – it should work if used as a custom depth map in Photomotion

Thank you for your answer, I just know how to fix it. I know that the depth is different between the background and Layer 1. Because of that difference, it is understandable that the person in Layer1 appears to be floating in the air. However, in the demo video, it doesn’t seem like that. looks like perfect. Tutor in demo said match a pin point? (i’m not sure) is designated so that the feet or shoes are aligned with the background floor, but I would like to know how to do that.

Exactly. All you need to do is either move your layer down a bit until it touches the floor plane, or change the angle of the floor plane until it intersects with the layer. This will “pin point” those two layers together and you won’t see the layer floating in space.

Yes, there is no limit on number of projects or animations you create with Photomotion.

Thank you for your prompt answer! Just 2 more questions: 1) exporting and re-importing will not decrease the final result (the quality) of the video: 2) does Photomotion has a function to loop (20 times) or I have to use the AE traditional option (INTERPRET FOOTAGE - MAIN - LOOP)?

1. Nope – just make sure to use less-destructive codecs with higher bitrate when exporting 2. It will loop the animation automatically – so let’s say your comp length is 30 seconds and your animation is 5 seconds: It will automatically make 3 full loops for you (5 sec animation + 5 sec back to default camera position times 3 for 3 loops)

Hi there, it should work on PC (tested today on the latest AE with latest Photomotion) – do you see any errors on your side?

I don’t get the “Add face” button screen once I double click on “Open Set up Face composition” – i get a screen with explanations about “dragging faces” and “hair, sunglasses, ...” .. How do I get started? checked the tutorial, but did not look like this..

Hi there, absolutely! Mirage has a simple parallax built in (you can insert layers and move camera in 3D space).

But if you need all the bells and whistles of the full Photomotion Parallax toolkit, the easiest way is to render out Mirage animation first and bringing that animation into Photomotion Parallax (insert into Add Photo composition).

If you have any issues with it, just let us know.

Hello, I am trying potrait and I want to blend it with mirage, for example a portrait of a person but there is fire, want to be able tocombine both of them, is that possible somehow?

Yes, I’d first do the Mirage animation, then bring the rendered video into Portrait (there are two freeze frames you need to disable if you want to use video in Add Photo composition as opposed to a static picture). Get in touch if you need help setting it up.
