These are great, any tips on how you get the trace on phone mockups or otherwise? I’d love to use this effect on https://graphicriver.net/item/graphic-screen-tablet-mock-up-volume-2/13064593 or https://motionarray.com/stock-video/drawing-tablet-and-computer-green-screen-1620066/
You show the mockups at different angles, how would I achieve something like this?
Hi there, happy to hear that you like our effect
Applying the final video in the mockups was also done in aftereffects. Search for the effect “corner pin” and then you can simply drag the corners of your video file to match with the mockup background. For stills that should work great. For the second link, a moving video, you need to track the corners of the screen of the mockup video and apply the rendered video to the track. Use track motion with the option “perspective corner pin”. There are plenty of youtube videos showing you how to do this. Just search on youtube for “After effects Screen Replacement Perspective Corner Pin” There you will find videos on how to do this. It is not that hard. Best of luck with your project(s)!

Anton
Thank you!
I also noticed as others have said my image shows up cropped and off center. I can share a video if needed. But the image position is way above the composition.

Hi I just found this plugin that you made for social media, it supports 9:16 I think. However, looks like It does not have the Zoom In area selection and the camera moves? Right? Can your other Painting Animator plugin be utilized for creating a video for 9:16 any trick possible, I think you can better suggest me.
Hi again. Yes, the Social media edition supports 9:16 resolution. It is also correct that you don’t have the camera moves and zoom in areas. However you can try to mimic this manually by creating the close ups as single animations and edit the shots together afterwards. If you do the close ups in 1920×1920 you might even have small camera moves. The regular painting animator only supports 16:9 but you could tilt your picture, do everything with the tilted picture in 16:9 and at the end tilt your final video back to 9:6. I hope that helps. Best Regards, Anton
Anton, to some reason, the painting is not covering the canvas but looks as cropped. I was doing everything according to instruction. But it didnt help. I made recording. Here is the link to download my test video with wrong formating. Please help: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ReJrQS4VbAO7W_jebzwercKZKG1UG-vU/view?usp=sharing
It looks like I’m having same issue as northboulevard below. But I dont know how to fix it. It really annoys (((
Hey Yuri, I am so sorry for my late reply, I just came back from vacation. Looking at your video, I didn’t find what causes the offset. You are doing everything correctly. I will have a closer look today and see if I can replicate the problem. I am so sorry for this. I am sure I will find out what causes this. Best Regards and sorry again for the delayed reply.
Hi Yuri, I’m sorry again, that it took me so long to find a solution. It turned out that it worked fine with older versions of after effects but at least with the newest version the problem you described occurs. I fixed the after effects file and the official download will be updated soon. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. If you contact me directly through my profile I will get your email address and can send you the file beforehand. Thanks again and sorry again for the much too long waiting time. Best regards, Anton
The plugin seems great, but I am running into a problem that I can’t figure out. I have watched and rewatched the tutorial video, but everytime the painted image is shifted up and to the right, so only part of it is visible within the Settings_Output comp. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong or how to fix it. I have tried several different things. Is it because I am trying to do 1920×1080?
Nevermind, I figured out how to override the positioning and get it centered in the comp.
Hi there, sorry to hear you had problems. And happy to hear that you figured out a solution. I’m not sure what might have been the problem. Maybe you have loaded a different image first and somehow that information was cached in the browser and thus a wrong position was saved. (wild guessing) Maybe trying to trace the image within a private window might help. Anyway, happy that you figured out a solution. Wishing you most success with your project(s) Best Regards, Anton
Maybe that’s what it was, I did edit the trace file, and maybe the new file was twice the resolution or something. Anyway this saved me some time on a project today, thank you!
where i can get the footage you use for the demo?
Hi there, I’m sorry to inform you that the footage from the promo video is mostly no stock footage and not for sale. Friends let me use it. Th only stock footage clips are these ones:
