Perfect map animation and cool music! ♪♫
Unique project! I wish you good sales!
Could you provide step-by-step instructions on how to zoom into an area or state?
check the comments. i have already explained the technique for some guy sometime ago. should be here somewhere
Yes, I have reviewed the comments but cannot get things to work – that is why I am asking.
what step need to be clarify?
1. go to Zoom_Facts comp
2. unlock 2 bottom layers – refl + White Solid 1
3. select all layers and press – ctrl + shift + c to precompose
4. animate scale and position to zoom in or out
What do I do after I precompose and change the scale and position?
take a look at included video tutorial. at 3 minute i explane how adjust icons with text and highlight states
Hello, It seems as though the tutorial file is corrupt, because I can’t open it in any program (I’ve downloaded apps and even tried opening it in Adobe Flash CC 2015 and no luck). Can you re-upload the files or post a video online?
hello. try this player – https://www.gomlab.com/
Like your work. The tutorial could be a lot better with audio and going a bit slower. Thanks.
ok. Thanks for the feedback
Thanks for a great map. However, I noticed a couple of omissions: Virginia’s eastern shore and New York’s Long Island. Possible to add those? Also, is it possible to add Alaska and Hawaii? Thanks
Unfortunately not. I can not add new states
se5d – Great concept. This is perfect for a project I’m working on. However, I’m having a hard time with the .flv tutorial. The way I’m getting it, it has no sound. Is there audio on the tutorial to make customizing this easier? Thanks!
well yes indeed there is no audio in the video tutorial. but folow text popup and i think there will be no problem. if you have specific things you do not understand let me know
se5d Thanks for a great looking map. Can you explain just a bit further on how to animate the new pre comp described above to zoom in and out? You do it in the example video quite nicely. Thanks.
You mean how to animate zoom? Select precomposed layer and press S. Scale parameters will become visible. Press that little timer. this will add key. Then move timeline for few seconds forward and add another key changing 100% at the right. That is the whole concept animating scale and position keys. Or use google with something like “how to animate keys in after effects”
Yes, thanks. I know how to do that. But it appears you have a camera in there in the demo video? No? Also, the keyframes seem to have some ease in and out on them? No? Thanks!
Maybe you are just animating scale and position to get the 3D camera effect.
Yes. You should use scale and position animation to create zomm effect. Do this steps exactly as written 1. go to Zoom_Facts comp 2. unlock 2 bottom layers – refl + White Solid 1 3. select all layers and press – ctrl + shift + c to precompose 4. animate scale to zoom in or out
Thanks. In CS6 ctrl + shift + c doesn’t work. One has to right click the highlighted layers and choose “pre compose”. Thanks again.
I bought this thinking the map was a vector because the author says it’s “vector only” in the listing, but the map is not a vector, so you can’t zoom in to any states.
Actually you are mistaken, but I will gladly help you with zooming.
1. go to Zoom_Facts comp
2. unlock 2 bottom layers – refl + White Solid 1
3. select all layers and press – ctrl + shift + c
to precompose
4. animate scale to zoom in or out
Hello, thank you very much for your excellent map. I have couple of potentially dumb questions. I’m a real beginner in AE, so please forgive my lack of knowledge.
1. In your tutorial when you highlight the states the highlight color is really vivid. When I do it (I follow your directions closely) the highlight color is really stale, not vivid and Ic an still see the grey background.
2. How do I zoom in to a state? For example Connecticut? I guess your there is no automatic way?
I would really appreciate your advice. I will also write you a private message.
I can pay a little extra for your help.
Thanks!
