No, it works only with After Effects. It’s using AE’s tools in order to work.

Yes you can do that. Set the markers on a layer. Then in the Script Panel go to the “Camera” settings and set the “Duration” to 0. Make sure that the marker layer is the first one. Now run the script and each line should use the marker’s time. Thank you. It should be easier then a template, in my opinion Basically you copy/paste your text in, format it into lines (like with a text editor) and generate scenes based on those lines. If you want to customize it like changing camera movement or changing text layout it may take some experimenting. There is a learning curve, some of the controls types are new and tailored to manage this types of project. Are covered in the help file .

For someone who is just getting started with AE it enables to create stories like the one from the presentation “Be water my friend”, start to finish, no keyframes, no moving layers around. Just drag layer markers to sync to audio and use the UI controls to customize for your purpose.

To put it in perspective if you try get the same result manually, use keyframe and try to sync audio narration or even a music track it involves a lot of repetitive tasks a lot of layers to move. It takes time. Also you need to be familiar with After Effect.
