Hey, currently don’t have any plans making layouts specifically for vertical ratios unfortunately. I would suggest using the 4k version of the project and just cropping the sides – put the RENDER comp in another precomp of a vertical ratio.

Yes, can use videos too! The comp lengths are around 15 seconds but can be extended fairly easily if needed.

Hey! Sorry for the delayed reply – that does seem a bit excessive of a render time. I can suggest trying to shut off the VR Chromatic Aberation effect on the ‘chromatic abberation’ layer in RENDER comps, and enabling the stack of effects underneath it – that should decrease the render times at the expense of slightly less nice aberations. If its still super long, disabling motion blur or dropping down its sample count in composition settings should help a lot too – since the first half a second or so of Render comps are heavy on the motion blur, the start of the comps will render much much slower than the rest of it, so the Media Encoder might be giving a really long expected time at the start. Hope this helps!

Hey! Placing your own content is easy, all the textboxes are live so you can paste your own text, or you can also just replace them with images/scans/other comps. As for vertical/square versions – not planning on adding them at the moment. My best suggestion would be to just change the resolution of the RENDER comp to the aspect ratio you need (if you’re making it larger than its is currently, make sure to size up the adjustment layers), and then tweak the camera moves to reframe the content if necessary – that should be pretty easy and work well.

Hey, could you please describe the problem in more detail? Which text are you modifying exactly and what do you mean by not being able to export – are you getting any error messages?

Hey, hmm, that’s strange, can’t replicate that problem on my end. You mean it crashes when you just try to view comps? Any error messages? Perhaps try turning on the caps lock so it doesn’t render and turn off the ‘chromatic abberation’ layer in RENDER comps – see if that is what’s causing the trouble. Also could try starting a new project and importing the template project in that one – that sometimes helps with weird crashes.

Hey, you need to enable GPU Acceleration (File > Project > Video Rendering and Effects and select Mercury GPU Acceleration). There’s more info on this in the Help document that comes with the template.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, you can extend the length, its easy but will take some clicking through comps — you would have to extend the length of the comps making up each layout, then un-shy and unlock the layers within each comp and extend those to the new full length.

Hey, really sorry to hear that man — you’re right in that it’s because of CC2017, the template is intended for CC2018 and up. The problems you’re encountering are because 2017 doesn’t have some of the features/effects yet (like the VR Chromatic Aberrations). However, I did some workarounds just now and it looks like it can work on CC2017 pretty well actually! If you send me your email address I’ll send you an optimised project file for CC2017 to test it out (you can use the email box on my profile page). Sorry for the hassle again!
