Getting the following erorr in adobe AE 2024:
Error at line 3 in property “source text” of layer 4(‘cursor”) in comp ‘L-type 3’. SyntaxError : Unexpected token ‘else’ an expression was disabled as a result of an error

Hi, it seems that Envato might still be using the old version of the file. As a quick fix, please open the project and run the ‘Update Legacy Expression’ script by navigating to File > Scripts > Update Legacy Expression. Let me know if this resolves the issue.
Hello, I have a bug. The cursor Box dispear when text is more then 1 lines long. Only Line 1 box is visible.

This is great, but is there a way to set the cursor to OFF? I am wanting to stack lines of typed words and don’t want the cursor to be blinking except on what is currently being typed.
I’m not sure if this you wanted but you can keyframe it off when text typed done and enable (checked it) when type again.
Hi have you updated this for AE 2020? Works in 2019 but getting expression errors in 2020, perhaps my version is old?
Hi, I haven’t update it yet. But you can change expression engine to legacy extendscript. The error will go away.
hello author, I do have question before I buy the script. 1. Can we do random typing speed? Rather all word say appear at specific time we can adjust their timing random.
2. Does the sound effect automatically matches the random typing speed(if that’s possible)?
3. Does this apply key frame or expression?
4. Can a paragraph is possible in this tool? Does the tool have any limitations on the how many words or letter it could have at max?
5. Can we setup preset?
6. How many keyboard sound effect it had?
Hey,
(1) Yes it has option to type random or normal typing but it cant be keyframed at specific time. Either on or off random.
(2) The sound play when writing and mute when if the no typing animation but not sound per key type, it just a play sound in random.
(3) No keyframe, expression only.
(4) Yes, it has 2 paragraph, Left and center. No limitations.
(5). No you cant. This is comp setup.
(6). Only one sound file, it play random frame.

Yes, you can change text color. Cursor color. No need background, it all transparent ready to insert to your comp.

How do you get the cursor to track text on a second line in the centered effect?
