Hi, I’m using the July 4th release on After Effects version 17.1.2 and its not working. I skipped using 17.1.1 because it didn’t work with that either. Any idea when there will be a solution? Cause it doesn’t even apply the preset on the track as I’m sure you’re aware. Thanks.

Great Product, When I add the distortion preset and open the preset comp to change values, the distortion is not placed directly on the face’s features. I have to go to the root comp to see how the distortion’s values look. Is there a way to adjust the values, while seeing the effects in real time? Thx!

That works, thanks. Other question, how do I animate the distortions correctly like your demo? I can animate the distortions inside the Preset, but they dont take place on the Root Timeline. Thnaks!

To update the package, simply delete the folder with the old presets and insert a new one there.

Does anyone have any workaround or solution for the AE face tracking getting slower and slower the longer it goes? For example the first 100 frames it goes pretty fast, then the longer the track goes it just gets to about a crawl. Stopping the track and restarting doesn’t make it go faster.
It seems the only way is to split clips into 10 second segments?
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Our extension just uses a data of the standard face tracking from After Effects. Unfortunately, at the moment, I have no solution better than the variant with dividing long footages into fragments. Maybe you can ask your question on the Adobe forum? Perhaps they will recommend something.

Hello, I was able to install the latest version of motion bro and activated with the purchase code without any issues, and I am now following all the steps in your video tutorial, but nothing happens when I click ‘apply’ on any of the presets.
I have already tried the workaround you’ve suggested by changing my expressions engine to the ‘Legacy ExtendScript’, but this still doesn’t seem to fix the issue.
Please help!

I bought this and I’m having trouble with some things. Specifically the Emoji add on to the face and a couple others. I do the face tracking and everything but the emoji face doesn’t show up on the face. It pops into the comp but it wont show on the program monitor. I have the latest version of AE CC. Any help would be great!
Also I tried the troubleshooting on the website as well but it didn’t work. Uninstalling and reinstalling now.

First, want to say that I love this add-on. Super easy to use and quite effective.
I notice after the latest After Effects 17.1.1 update most of presets are broken, due to what looks like scaling issues? For example, the makeup presets are not scaling to the face size.
Is there a fix coming for this?

Hello again, the fix worked for 17.1.1 and now I am using 17.1.2 and seeing a mixed bag of somethings working and some things broken – - glasses work just fine, eyes work just fine, but beard and other presets are broken as well as transitions…am I missing something?

im using After Effects (17.1.1) from Creative Cloud Desktop, always updated. I tried this:
- New Composition - using video 1920×1080 same as composition settings (HTV 1080 25 Preset) - cut out with ellipse tool face area - right click mask “track mask” - analyze method “face tracking (detailed features)” - right click mask setting “none” instead of add - set “rest pose” in a stabil position - extract & copy face measurements
=> window => extentions => motion bro v3.0.3 - AE Face Tools STARTER PACK - for example i’ll try => Makeup => Animal => first => apply

For each face, you need to make tracking on a separate layer. For example, if you have two faces in a footage, do the following:
1. Make tracking for a first face and apply a preset to it.
2. Duplicate the face footage layer and delete all the data from the previous tracking, including the mask, from it.
3. Make tracking for a second face.
4. Make sure you select the second face footage layer and then apply a preset to it.
Love this tool! However, the only effects I’ve been able to create are the glasses. Nothing else works. Suggestions?

Just a quick question I see with these presets I can apply makeup or masks. I was wondering if it is possible to customize these library because I need to work on a sci fi effect. For example apply my logo on my face or the mask of a cyborg… is realistic and easy to customize or I can only apply and use the ones inside your library like the animal collection or the emojoy…
