If you do not have Apple Motion Installed and only FCPx Right click on the application icon and select “show package contents” then follow the path below and place the downloaded product in the correct folder.
Applications/Final Cut Pro/Contents/PlugIns/MediaProviders/MotionEffect.fxp/Contents/Resources/Templates/
put the downloaded template in the correct category:
- Effects
- Generators
- Titles
- Transitions
If you have Apple Motion Installed in your Mac. Please go to your home folder and place the product downloaded in the titles or generator folder.
If /Movies/Motion Templates/
put the downloaded template in the correct category:
- Effects
- Generators
- Titles
- Transitions

Hello. I tried to installed the animation following the instructions you gave in a previous comment. I have Motion installed. However, I keep geeting the Missing Generator alert on FCPX. What could be the problem?

No, I don’t think it interferes with Motion, in fact, I just ended up using your product in Motion and exporting the final video instead of using FCPX. It didn’t work in FCPX for me, I still don’t know why. I wouldn’t see this as a big problem since I could use the opener in Motion fortunately. In FCPX I’m still getting the missing generator alert. Thanks in advance, it’s a great opener
Perhaps the reason is the wrong file location for Final Cut. I’m glad that it works for you in motion

Ok, update on this thread: I think problem was that Motion 5 was not updated. Once I updated it, the template was working properly on FCPX

Sorry to waste your time, I just found the answer within the licensing info. I’ll paste it here just incase anyone else has the same question.
“No. The customized/rendered logo reveal is the final end product and it can be used in any number of movies without having to purchase another license. Remember that you need a new license for each use of the template to create a unique logo reveal.”
Hi, yes, you can use this for your YouTube channel in unlimited quantities. You will need a new license if you want to use the new logo.
