It wasn’t clear to me that you need to download an external plugin for this that costs $199,- can i get my money back now its of no use.. I would never use that plugin for anything..

i have installed the plugin but have a black screen now. In the tutorial it says i have to link the scene but there is no button to Scene Setup in Element
You need to install the models first. Follow the “model installation” video tutorial instructions.
Works after restarting, but somehhow i can’t drag devices from the premium builder inside the composition
You need to click or double click – drag is not an option. Keep in mind that E3D plugin is somewhat demanding not only in user knowledge but its really demanding in terms of gpu usage too.
Hi, just purchased and been using initially all fine, but have since closed the extension window and cannot relaunch that window now to access the setups? Have no problems with all my other extension windows, just nothing happens when i click to launch. On AE 23.2.0 on a PC – thanks
Inside the tutorials folder there is a CSXS.zip Run the reg file corresponding to the version of After Effects that is installed on your system and in the pop-up window, click “OK”

You could also uninstall and install the extension using the free zxp tool from aescripts.com here: https://aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer/ A really plan B option would be to use the included .aep file which includes all scenes as well.

The App Promo Builder has been installed but once I click on the Portrait one of the vertical App demo in AE (I use latest update 23.2.1) I get this message

The missing effect “element” refers to the element 3D plugin which is needed it’s obligatory. This template is based on this plugin and it’s clearly stated in the description page. This is an external – add on plugin and can be purchased in the video copilot web page.

Hi, I am not really sure which text style you need to use BUT a general rule is duplicate! The duplication must be deep to all precomps used to build the final text effect.

Hi, I’m about to purchase this project but I’m not sure if I should. Will it work perfectly on a core i5 8th gen, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti 4gb, 24gb ram? I’m seeing some comments about missing files, I wouldn’t want any kind of issues if I purchase and I’ll then have to report to you. I would like the project to be seamless without any issue. Is this guaranteed?
Hi Macrenner, I sure you will work fine on your computer,, as for the missing file comments, most of those comment were caused from wrong model installation! Model installation is covered with a dedicated video tutorial. I really hope you will be just fine.

That depends on how deep you need to go. In case you just want to add your app screens with your text its super easy!
I like the project so far but the android device is always offline when ever I import any of the animations. Even after I linked it from element 3d interface it will still show missing the next time I opened the project and I had to relink again. It’s stressful, what is the solution to link once and for all?
The best solution is described in the dedicated video tutorial titled “Model Installation Tutorial”.
That was the first thing I did. I dragged the Model folder to element model in document. Every model works fine but its just the android device. when I tried to link it, it shows that its in the element model folder, but I have no idea why its not seeing it.
Model installation is really straight forward, so try restarting your system – upgrade your AE and Element 3D software.

Hello! Please help to solve the problem. I bought this plugin, installed 3d models as shown in the tutorial, and everything seemed to work, but the rendering of any scene does not complete correctly. The rendering through both ways Media Encoder and Render Queue perform without 3D phone model. The video contains just a white background as a result. Also, After Effect crashes if I render through the Media Encoder. I have attached a video with both rendering methods. I solved the problem by disabled Subsurface scattering and Ambient occlusion effects. It looks like my video card doesn’t have enough RAM (GTX 950, 2GB RAM).

As you already know the template includes 2 devices one for iOS and one for android operating system, the android Device has been updated, now the new Samsung S20 replaces the S10. Keep in mind that the S10 is still included when opening the v2 .aep file.
Hello! Great Product! SO simple! Just one question. In the App promo builder Extension where you can select all the different templates….there seem to be some comps missing. Most notably The PROMO TYPOGRAPHY. I can see the comps I open the App Builder AE project…but they are not options in the extension window to choose from in a different AE project. Is there a way I can select or import those INTO the extension window to use for future selections? I hope I am explaining this properly. Thanks!
Hi! Correct me if I am wrong. Do you see the Builder window and the animated previews thumbnails? When you click on a certain typography style does this appear in your project window? In case you are wondering what is included in the builder – the builder extension can’t import other AE comps.
Great extension. I have installed Elements 3D, Saber and your App Promo Builder Extension. When I open things from the library I see all the layers but the devices do not show on the canvas (the logo’s, placeholders and text do). Any suggestions
Looks like you didn’t install correctly (or at all) the included 3d models. Please check the (included) installation tutorial which can be found on the tutorials folder.
I followed this instruction and when I check the plugins folder I see the following folders: DataFormat, Effects, Extensions, Format, KeyFrame, Maxon Cineware and VideoCoPliot.
Anyway: how can I remove / uninstall everything? I already uninstalled and reinstalled AE, but the plug-ins seem te remain in my settings.
No need to uninstall E3D plugin! You need to copy the “App_Promo_Builder” folder which is inside the .zip file (and includes all 3d models) inside the “VIDEOCOPILOT” folder. Keep in mind that you need to have a recent E3D, version 2.2.2 is required for AE 2019 and above.

On your advice I copied the files out of the “App_Promo_Builder” folder (Desktop.obj, Promax.MTL, Promax.obj and ‘S10 3D model.obj) into AdobeAfterEffects/Support Files/ Plug-ins/ VIDEOCOPILOT
It still does not work. Should there be more than 4 files in this “App_Promo_Builder” folder
You need to copy the folder which includes those file! But in order to have better control open AE/go to element ed layer hit setup, from there (on the top side of the preview/perspective viewport) you will see the “broken” link thats where E3D expect to read the 3d geometry it should be in red color.
I did copy the whole folder. Where can I see the Elements 3D Layer? Is that in the Effects & Presets panel? (sorry not that familiar yet with 3D animations)
To see element 3d layer you need to go to any mobile device scene – select a gray color layer (layer number 7-8) then open the effects controls (of that layer)
Ah, simply in the layers. Sorry. With a mobile scene I see that e.g. layer 7 should be a phone. When I drop down the Effects I see another drop down of Elements with a bunch of options.
How can I check if the settings regarding Elements 3D are okay? (I’d understand if you don’t want a conversation as long as this on this site. You can also e-mail me and if there are any additional support costs you want to charge that is also fine)
In the top of that E3D effect option there is a “scene setup” button you need to go inside and follow the instructions in my previous message

I deleted everything and installed it again. The Scene Setup button is there but there are no phone/tablet/desktop models in it.
So 3D elements is installed, your app is (following the videos), but where are the mobile devices? Is this part of your package or 3D elements or another plugin?

Love this as I use it at moment! Only thing I noticed as if I want to use one of Saber clip, it seems to go dark and blur, small by itself after 10 seconds. I tried to find it in all setting, I have isolated this that it’s setting somewhere as video clip is fine. Believe it is under Element 3D PhonePro 10 setting.
Any ideas?
Hi Michael, All saber effects used lasts for 3-4 seconds. can you please be more specific? Can you name a scene number?

Saber Effect is not a problem. After saber part effect complete, I run video clip on app place holder for 2 minutes and half.
I noticed when I play or render the video clip. I can see when after ten seconds, the iPhone object become slightly reduced. And blur. It made placeholder image (video) quality look dark.
It only happen after ten seconds on Saber02 as I use it at moment.

I think the solution has to do with the lights! Go to your timeline and press a small button “shy/un-shy” layers, some layers are hidden, you need to extend those layers too.
Will we have to purchase and install it before running this template?
You can choose: If you like to use the builder extension or not. The builder extension will help you preview all the included scenes in a docked panel inside after effects. Alternatively you can avoid installing the extension and work more “traditionally” using a .aep file and have all the content in the project panel.
Thanks for your response. In the package folder, I didn’t see any source footage or rendered animations with alpha. How can I open this without the extension and have all the content work for me?
You just need to open the included .aep file. There are no pre-renders, everything works inside After Effects.

These usually happens when you bypass the 3d model installation as a result Element 3d can’t locate the 3d model. Another reason maybe that you don’t have the E3d properly installed or you have a very old version. Try these two solutions and let me know if or what works for you.

haha ok, I have got brand new macbookpro the 8 core. Details: graphics Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB – processor 2,3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 – memory – 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
For some reason your system is using the Intel card which is unsupported with the E3D while the Radeon is. What you need to do is, select the the Radeon card and/or disable the intel.
Here is the official documentation concerning the supported VGA cards where the intel vga card are marked in red color as not supported.

So thats the right one, and it still gives the same messages “your video card does not support the selected configuration please reduce the layer size”
Try update the graphics card divers, update the video copilot elemend 3d plugin. If any of these work try this workout: 1. Turn on the Caps Lock to avoid rendering 2. Add Element 3D to a layer 3. Turn Multi-Sampling down to 2-4 which will lower the memory requirements 4. To improve Anti-Aliasing (But slow render) turn on Super-Sampling.
