I’ve just bought this template and it does not appear to be fit for my purpose. There is very little to go on based on the lack of instructions, but it looks like I cannot import any jpg images as pages as this would have been the most simple way to create my magazine flip animation. Any suggestions?

is it possible to make the animation goes from right to left, especially when the cover is opening. For languages that goes from right to left.

If you want to flip the animation and also cover opening side so that it fits Arabic and similar languages you can do this with a simply hack. You need to flip all your page placeholders and title placeholders so that they look like in mirror. Then take the final render comp, drop it into a new comp and flip that comp as well. Now you will have all the animation flipped but your content will be correctly readable.
Can you place images or PDFs on the magazine flip pages to advertise an actual magazine and the content in a particular issue
Yes, that was the original intention. There is a placeholder comp for each page. Just put your content on top of all layers and you will replace the sample design with your own.
You can use whatever file format After Effects accepts. Including jpg, png, pdf, ai, eps.
However if you have a multipage pdf document you might need to re-save it as a single page pdf putting each page in a separate file. For some reason After Effects doesn’t support multipage pdf documents.

I need the length of the video to be just 30 seconds. How can i accomplish this with your file, or is there some way you could help with this?

If you read item description carefully you’ll see that there are 5 premade cuts included. Last two of them are exactly 30sec in length. Vime previews are available if you click on the links.
However all project consists of 20 separate clips that you can take and arrange just as you would cut and edit the camera footage so you can quickly make up your own cut in whatever length you need using whichever cuts you like best.
There is a Video tutorial that explains everything in detail.

Just purchased the template. Great stuff. Only one problem. When I open the file, it says missing CC Flip page n CC Blur. Therefore, the flipping page are not working.
Those are Cycore plugins. They come included with Full version of After Effects. You might want to check your installation disc in case you didn’t installed them when you installed After Effects.
Hi I have two questions:
1. Can the timing of the page turns be changed to slow down or speed up as necessary? Can pages be taken out if not needed?
2. Single license use: we want to use this for the opening of a TV show, so it would be shown every week for each episode of the same TV show. Does regular license still apply? Thank you!
Neither timing changes nor page removing was built in as one of the options. Which meant it can be done, but there is no easy and premade option to do that.
You can try to disable visibility of some of the pages, but I can’t guaranty if that will produce the correct results. Also timing changes could be carried out through time remapping feature. Especially if you’re not planning to use video clips in placeholders, but stick to photos – this would be handy and quite easy manageable.
I’m not a legal expert, but in my understanding TV broadcasting requires extended license. To be completely sure – you should contact support

It was intended to be that way to show the perspective, but another version will be coming some time and previous buyers will be eligible for free download.

I just purchased this file. It’s very nicely organised and everything is labelled and commented. Its also easy to adjust if you’re familiar with After Effects
One thing that I was disappointed with. When the page turns, it becomes distorted and squashed on the left handside.. something that is not noticable from the preview video.
Fix: If you do need to have the left page in the same proportion as the right page, you can animate the ‘width’ scale from 100% to 130% as it turns.
Maybe the author can update this if he feels necessary

I was about to buy this thing as it looks awesome but before purchase as usual I went in the comments section here. I saw the msg from michak about the text. I am very interested to know can I easily put jpg images for each page. This is what I will use this project for.
I want to change all the text and make all the pages as jpg or whatever format ( psd, pdf, png ... etc)
Each page is stored in separate composition. So whatever you put in this comp will appear on page. you can combine text with images like i did or export premade layout from your InDesign project or whatever. it can be in jpg, png, pdf or even video format if you like. it can occupy the whole page or just part of it. so, yes. You can easily use jpg image for each page.

as you see I bought your template. It’s awesome.
But let me ask a little question. I like to change every single site with a JPG . Because it’s a lot of work to set the bodytext and the images in the site with my layout. Is it correct that I must only change the side 01 … side X? Or do you have a simple trick?
