thanks for the quick reply! And also thanks for writing this programme. In the README pdf it’s the first step to write into the ‘scrip panel’, but this is what I can’t find. From a video I know where it should be, but I can’t find it on my After FX project.

In After Effects menu: go to File>Script>Install ScriptUI and then choose the script and restart After Effects.

I opened the preferences and chose scripts but could not find my way any further.

Hi, thanks for creating this plugin – it’s very useful. But out of nowhere I’m being told my “License is already active on maximum allowed product instances, please deactivate this license from active domain.”...but this is the only computer I use it on. Hi mate, I’ve just had 2 issues pop up. “After Effects warning: Expression Disabled. Error at line 1 in property ‘Source Text’ of layer 1 (‘SF – Subtitles’) in comp ‘Main Project’. SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token. And the other…exactly same error but for the ‘Anchor point’. Any ideas how to fix this? Visually, the single line subtitles are fine but the double line subtitles are being cut off at the bottom. My guess is that the anchor point is at the top when it needs to be at the bottom?
To fix this bug move the expression engine from javaScript to legacy extendScript.

The “Curva” script is unstable and causes problems with many tools and also with sf-subtitles.
Please close the tool and then do a restart after effect and then it should work properly.

The tool works great on After Effects 2020, What exactly does not works for you?
It is a blank panel. It gives various options that have ZERO functionality. it is just a dark grey box with the name of the script at the upper left corner in white. Ther is nothing else in it,... no buttons ect. I am not able to upload a screen shot of this
It looks like you installed the tool incorrectly, can you send us a screenshot with the problem?
Hey I found out the solution. Needed to go to Preferences —-> Scripting & Expressions —>Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network. I appreciate you prompt customer service; and yes it is works great on After Effects 2020. #cheers

Hi I am getting the error “can’t connect to thescriptfighter.com:80” even though I have verified that I am connected to the internet because in the same dialogue box where you enter username and purchase code, when I click “Open Videohive downloads page” I am able to visit that page and surf so I am connected to the internet. What may be the problem?

Hi. Thanks for responding so quickly. For some reason as soon as I import my clip, add text to SF-subtitles and click on Create Subtitles. I get the following errors: 1: This project contains expression errors 1 of 2. Error at line 1 in property ‘Source Text’ of layer 1 (‘SF – Subtitles’) in comp ‘My file name’ and then error 2 of 2 is : Error at line 1 in property ‘Anchor Point’ of layer 1 (‘SF-Subtitles’) in comp ‘My file name’. How can I get rid of these errors and what’s causing them?

Your computer does not seem to be connected to the Internet, so in order for a tool to work you need to have an internet connection (as listed on the product page).

(Not changing within the text I already created) 2. What if I only want subtitles at the end of the video? Now the subtitle is seen all over the video.

1. To add one subtitle to existing subtitles layer, you will need to add another keyframe in the SF – SUBTITLES layer and add the text to it.
2. If you want the subtitles to be only at the end of the video, you have to move all the subtitles keyframe to the end of the composition and at the beginning of the composition in the subtitles layer put an empty keyframe.
Thank you so much for your reply. 1. But how do I add a new keyframe? Cause when I type in a text and click on “Create Subtitles”. It does not create a new keyframe in the existing subtitles. But creates a new layer.
You can create a new subtitle layer and copy from it the subtitle keyframes to the old subtitle layer.

Hi, you can create a new layer of subtitles with a background and delete the new subtitles layer and the background will remain for your subtitles layer.

What version of the tool you are using?
In my download folder only have this docs: SF-Subtitles.jsxbin, Readme and More info folder. I load SF-Subtitles.jsxbin
