won’t open in AE 2018! JSON parse error
Hi z0rbal, try and save the project folder in a new location and re-open it to see if you still getting the same error.
Still the same – if I rename assets and re-link at load time I still get the same error – but opens in CS6. File problems are ‘Hacked Set Slow Right.mp4’ and ‘Sci-fi Set Slow Right.mp4’. AE1018 exit gives string memory leak (83::2)

Hi z0rbal, sorry for the time taken, I don’t know if you have solved your issue here is something I got from a friend who had the same problem.
Sometimes After Effect Will not show warning messages due to a missing file that need to be re-link. I have no idea why this is happening sometimes with After Effect.
Due to that, things like rendering or setting some layers may trow this type of errors also.
From the project panel, to the search bar, type “errors” or “error”
If any layer needs to be re-link, it will show up there. Just try and re-link it everything should work fine.
If that is the case, it may solve the error message you’re having due to the script-related.

No scripts panels used in this project, but maybe you need to update quicktime codecs to latest version because this video files uses h264 qt compression!
