Notwithstanding the comments above, the demo looks absolutely fantastic.. If it is a bit complex to set up a scene, it would be useful to be able to work with one or more of the videos used in the demo to learn. Since I suppose the videos are commercial and not included (or even if they are free videos), it would be useful to list the sources on your product page. In the demo file is not included in your download, you can always offer to send it to those who purchase the videos. Anyway, that’s just the way I like to work so I get to feel confident replicating demo scenes. And your demo is a real incentive because it looks so great.

That’s a good idea! The video files are not included, but they can be found on envato elements also. Need to look them up and put the link in the description pdf. I can also offer to send the ae-files of the videos 
I think it is quite easy to set up a scene. At least if you know a little bit about After Effects. Please look at the tutorial, if you are interested:

I was purchasing thinking this was a script or an external preset. This is ridiculous. Appreciate the work that went into, but not ideal for procedural workflow. 0 out of 5 stars. Will be rating this shortly.

I am very sorry to hear that you are very unhappy with our Light Rays product.
I’m sorry, but I don’t really understand what we should have done differently. Do I understand correctly that you thought this is a stand alone application and now you are surprised and upset that you need to work within After Effects? Then this was simply a misunderstanding and I would be happy to help to get you a refund. It’s definitely not that we are trying to hide this fact. It is listed in the “After Effects Project Files” category, on the right you can see which After Effects versions it works with and a 30 minutes video tutorial is linked twice in the product description where you can see exactly how it works.
I honestly would be very happy to learn what exactly makes you feel this deserves 0 out of 5 stars, so that at least we can try to make it better.

I find this project very hard to use. I just want to add light rays to text annd there’s no example in the tutorial which is frustrating to watch.

I’m sorry to hear you are having difficulties. Actually to add Light Rays to text is the same as adding Light Rays to any other video. Please first put your text in the “01_Put_Source” composition. The next step is to draw a mask around your text on the “Light Map and Mask” layer within the “03_Light” composition. In the basic settings the light rays will emerge from the lightest parts of the picture. So if your text is white on black background you should immediately see the light rays. Only if your text is darker then you might need to adjust the “02_Light_Map” composition like described in “02_Light_Map”-video-tutorial.
