Are these photoshop photos? Or does the program automatically “cut” around the player photo?

can somone dm me about how to render this project? im having a terrible time with this one.. when downloaded, and opened in AE i get 2 error codes, deleted – redownoaded, still same error codes..expessions errors and i havent even touched the projec – the errors are on opening the project
