This option only exists after the cc2019 version of After Effects, if you are using an earlier version, skip steps 4.1b and 4.1c (for cc2019 users only).

Does the Emoji Slider only work on certain versions of After Effects?
Hi kcannon85. Emoji creator pro works on all versions of AE (CC2014.2 or higher). We swapped the sliders to dropdown menu to facilitate the user experience. After importing the Emoji Creator Pro for your composition just click on the comp and control everything with a few clicks in the effects control panel.
