Is this compatible with the new AE update?
Hi,
How do you use multiple animation, on the same character? like for example, the character would be walking up the stairs then afterwards it could be doing the thinking animation.
Hi there, Sorry for late reply, I wasn’t able to get access to the internet lately during my trip.
You can copy and paste keyframes from one animation to another, usually in AE you have to do this one layer at the time, or if you have DUIK, then you will be able to copy and paste all keyframes at the same time.
Just go to Animation 1, Select all controlers, press “U” to reveal all keyframes, and then go to Animation 2, move timeline marker a bit further in time so the keyframes are not overlaping at the same time and paste the keyframes to the Animation 2. Make sure you copy and paste keyframes for the same controler and don’t mix it up, (Head keyframes for head controller).
After copy pasting keyframes you will probably need to make custom adjustments to the “in between phase” this require a bit of knowledge with animation which can be picked up here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhR6yjKlKqU

Hi there, this project is not expression universalized – that means you can use the scripts from this template only in english version of ae. So if you use Spannish, german or any other language, please switch your AE to english version to run the template. https://youtu.be/5rgrhXlUtm4
Hey do you have an option to show the back of the characters? For example like the shot you have of the guy on the computer. if so, where is that located in the toolkit?

There are currently no back view characters and the scene you’ve mentioned was customized. I took a regular character, and shuffled order of layers for hands, neck and head, so they look more how you see character from behind. Also turned off visibility of eyes nose and mouth and adjusted hairs and i guess thats it!
You can find this character in the Project files. Not in the main EVT4 template but in the second aep file that is attached and only has elements that were used to create the example video.

Macos mojave 10.14.4, AE CC 2019, every time I open this software, I have to run it once. The waiting time is very long. During the waiting period, AE will sometimes crash. If I close the window, I will use it again next time. Waiting for a long load time again, is there any way to solve it? I am very anxious, which gives me a very bad experience.
I downloaded the file and placed it in the My Documents folder. I can only open it with “Scripts-Run Scripts” in AE. Every time I do this, I have to wait for 1-2 minutes, because if I choose “Scripts- Explain Video Toolkit 4.2 (For CC 2018 or Newer)”
My AE software will tell me the error: Unable to execute script at line 11. File or folder does not exist
I have spent ONE HOUR figuring out the problem, but I failed.
I am very disappointed, why is there no simple installation package, just like double-clicking to install the software?
New developments:
I found that I couldn’t uninstall this program from the AE installation package. It took me another hour to find it from the AE’s preferences file and uninstall it.

It is script and if you use AE CC2019 you don’t have to install anything. The whole EVT4 folder has to contain all the files the same as you downloaded it. Do not move any parts out of the main EVT4 folder because then you’ll get the error.
Please follow only these steps:
1. Download the toolkit from videohive and unpack it anywhere you like (i.e. C:/Users/User/Desktop)
2. Open your AE CC2019 and go to File>Scripts>Run Script File
3. Navigate to the main EVT4 folder you’ve unpacked in the step 1, and select and run “Explainer Video Toolkit 4.2” – Please make sure you’re using the version 4.2 which is compatible with AE CC2019 because version 4.1 is for older versions of AE. That’s it, and that is the way how usually all AE scripts are loaded.
If you want to EVT4 to appear in window menu follow these steps.
EVT4.2 can be dockable if you paste the contents of “EVT4 Main Files” folder to Adobe > Adobe After Effects XX > Support Files > Scripts > Scripts UI Panels. Similar to what you can see on the screenshot below (this picture was made on an older version) -> For AE CC 2019 copy just “Explaienr video toolkit 4.2.jsx” and “(EVT Scripts)” i.imgur.com/q0olvGf.png
Loading time depends on speed of your HDD or SSD.
If i buy this, does it allow me to use it as my own? like have clients and use it to make any videos as it is mine? does the license allow me to do that?

The difference between Regular and Extended license is this: Does a viewer have to pay to see the video? Yes -> Extended License (example: TV commercial, Training videos included in some paid package, paid video tutorials etc.) No -> Regular license (Youtube videos, Usual Promotional videos, Explainer videos on website etc.)
So for the majority of videos produced you’ll need just the regular license.
Also, according to envato licensing terms, license is bought per project, on customers behalf. That means for example, if some company, lets call them “Company A” will ask you to create set of 10 (or any number) of videos for them, you will need just 1 license. But, if another company “Company B” will ask for another set of videos for them, they should have their own license. So that basically means, 1 license per 1 company/entity.

I noticed that you have 4 volumes of these products. Does volume 4 include stuff from your older ones? Like is this the updated version or do i need to buy all 4?
is this template and material easy to use for someone who is relatively new to after effects?
EVT4 is the latest version and it contains everything that previous versions have plus there are many new elements and many more improvements mainly in performance and design. I recommend to buy the latest version, similar to how people buy their latest phone of some brand.. Older versions will be deleted soon because people seems confused by all these older versions.
Explainer videos are generally a little bit more difficult to make so I recommend to have some basic knowledge of After Effects. Also it depends on how complicated scenes you want to do, most of scenes are really simple to make, but some special customized scenes might require more skill. EVT4 is for sure the easiest template to use from all explainer video templates. Hi, I watch the tutorial about typography but I dont have the 01 Typography (Start here) option, every other typography styles are still there though.

Hi there, Yes there was an update so the typography part does not have the “Typography(start here)” composition but you just simply can skip this step and import the typography compositions directly. Function of typography animations are still the same and even improved.

Helo, In the after effects CC 2019 has many errors of expression. Are you going to release any updates?

The update for AE CC2019 is already there. Please make sure you’re running the “Explainer Video Toolkit 4.2” version – not the 4.1 which is for older AE and which will give you expression error if you try to run it on AE CC2019.
Simply go to File> Scripts> Run Script File… navigate to EVT4 folder and select “Explainer Video Toolkit 4.2” and run the toolkit.
Any plans to update this with more features? Last update in November, anything coming soon?
Right now I pursue other projects. I can’t tell for sure what will be next.

Another option is to search for “bank building flat illustration” somewhere else (creativemarket.com or graphicriver.net) and combine it with EVT4

Hi, seems that the character animation 48 Relax 4 is corrupted, I’m getting the following error message: Error: After Effects error: Unable to set “workAreaDuration”. Value 19,79 out of range 0,04 to 19,79. All other I tested working fine, only this one crashes. Running After Effects CC 2019
Hi Jussmir, Thank you for letting me know however I was not able to reproduce this bug on any setup. I think it has to do something with timeline cursor, or work area selection, or duration and framerate of a composition. So maybe if you play with these values you might unbug this.

Hello, I have After Effects 2019 on Mac Mojave 10.14. I am having difficulty getting any of the animation presets to actually do anything to any object in my project; They don’t seem to do anything. I’m not getting any errors… I’m running the EVT 4.2 script file, and I copied the entire “3 EVT4 Presets” folder into After Effects Preset folder. All the presets show up in the Effects & Presets list in AE, but when I drag and drop one of them onto an object to animate it, nothing animates… The effect is applied, I can see it in the timeline, but no adjusting of sliders or changing the various values seems to do anything. I had previously used your EVT3.5 toolkit, and these presets worked just fine… Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi ryandinan, I think it might be because you have to add one or two markers to the object so the script will know when to start the animation. Simply select any composition/object you want to animate, apply animation preset, and go to Layer > Add Marker. First marker marks when the animation will animate in, and the second will mark animation out.

is the version 4.2 file name is “Explainer Video Toolkit 4.02” because Im still having the error
after loaded in after effects the title of the tab is Explainer Video Toolkit 4.0
