What exactly happens when you open the file?
Look, I’m relatively new to After Effects so I’m having a REALLY hard time putting just 8 photos on this thing. I’ve tried and tried to do what you said about putting the photos in the “pages” and then readjusting them…..but the photos all come out in the wrong pages, no movement with the pages, nothing. This is crazy
I would purchase your newer “memories and moments” in a heartbeat if I knew it would work, but I’m terrified to death of having the same thing happen.

I’m honestly not sure why it’s nor working for you. This was my very first after effects template I’ve made so it’s not very user friendly. The memories and moments would be a LOT easier to edit
Yes….I’m aware that it’s NOT user friendly. BUT….nevermind. I made it work by slicing two different books together and finalizing a music video.

Honestly, you should make a tutorial video on how to use the Magical-book-intro-hd template because not everyone knows fully After Effects. Thank you.
I purchased the Magical-book-intro-hd and unfortunately had I known there is no tutorial on how to use this template than I would`n have bought it. So this Template for me is absolutely useless. Thank you.

It’s very simple to edit the template.
Simply go to each of the “Page” compositions and drag and drop your photo/video clips there, then position how you’d like them to be. Don’t forget to delete the “Photo.jpg” layer

Although possible it would be very difficult to accomplish,especially since this is a very old template of mine and is not as user friendly.

Can you customise this for me please? I have a show coming up portraying 9 different fairytales and would love this to play while the voiceover is introducing the show.
This is the script the voiceover will be using, once I get a recording of it i can send that too. “Once upon a time a little girl couldn’t decide which bedtime story to read. She flicked through her fairytales of Snow White; the ever so perfect princess who everyone wanted to be where dwarfs and huntsman would save her from an evil witch, then Sleeping Beauty filled with fairies but also had the wicked Maleficent. There was Alice In Wonderland where the queen of hearts ruled the kingdom and PeterPan with magical Tinker-bell. She loved the Ice Princess and the funny snowman from Frozen wanting it to be summer, oh and Belle from Beauty and The Beast, imagine being a guest at that dinner party. Red Riding Hood was a favourite but she might get nightmares from all those wolves, she didn’t like scary monsters, keeping the light on might help with that. Cinderella was such a beautiful princess unaware if she would win the heart of prince charming and the loneliness of poor Rapunzel overcome by her happy ending and how fabulous she was. One thing she did notice was that everyone got their hero in the end…..she wondered….when will she find hers…..”

If by reducing the size you mean simply shortening the length then yes that’s straight forward, you only render the amount you want.

Your help file is lousy, sorry to tell. I asked the support to give me a refund, because I can’t use that template as it should.
This is my very first AE template, so it’s done a bit rough.
The way to change the photos: 1. Import your own photos into the project window. 2. Select photo1 (for ex.) 3. Then while holding “Alt” drag your own photo onto photo1

If you are new to after effects then yes, it will difficult. Have a search for other book templates, there are many on the website.

I have a problem with opening this project. When i try to open it this error comes up:
After Effects error: Can´t overwrite file ”/User/XXX/library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/10.0/Adobe After Effects 10.0-x64 Prefs”.
I went to see in my user folder to find this path, but it is not there, what can i do?

Hi, that magic dust sound is from VideoCopilot’s Design FX package. I’m sure you will find something similar on AudioJungle though for a lot less.

I have the same issue with the opacity on page 4 going down only during rendering. I did what you suggested, actually I tried all three options (8, 16, 32) but none seems to work. During preview everything looks fine, the issue appears only on the rendered file. Please help me troubleshoot this problem!!

Hello again, I have tried several different file formats and settings in CS6 but none of them seems to solve the page 4 problem. Please have a look again at this problem because your very nice template is not usable!! Could it be something related to the settings for the graphics card? I use a MacBook Pro Retina display.

Could you please tell me the exact timing of when the opacity drops?
Yes, when the page starts to turn at 1:10:23 the opacity is already half, and you can only see that during rendering and at the exported movie. During preview everything seems to be ok.

I’ve noticed 2 things. 1. Inside of Main Comp 2, select layer “page 3” and in the effects control window(if not available go to Windows>Effects Control) and in the Back Page option select Page 4.
2. On layer “Page 3” and “Page 4” press “p” to bring up position option and change the third column from 0 to -2
This should solve it. Let me know what happends

UPDATE: Your suggestions seem to solve the ‘Page 4’ issue. One thing I noticed was that the problem is also gone if you choose under Render Settings -> Motion Blur -> Off for All Layers. Anyway, thanks a lot and congrats for your new template, very nice!
