Hello is the background transparent ?? I want to put a video behind the fiog
the background is not transparent, but you can use the blend mode like screen or lighten mode to it and put the video to the buttom layer of it..

would i be able to use this on top of footage by using a blending mode and turning down the opacity some? i’m trying to give the effect that your flying through clouds down to the earth’s surface.

Yes its possible but since its the motion graphics file, you dont have the control over the parameters. Its better if you buy the fog logo reveal from my portfolio which is after fx file which will give you much more control than this one, and yes changing the blending mode to screen or so, you will get that result.
