How do I make each county its own color like you clearly show in the thumbnail and video. I turned off the Flag Image and Solid within CHANGE MAIN IMAGE HERE comp, but then all the counties are just transparent. I can see that each county has a fill color in the FX for each layer, but those colors do not appear no matter what I do. This is a very basic option that is clearly advertised many times for the product, yet how to accomplish it does not appear in the Instructions File, and it is not intuitive at all within the file itself. How is this simple task accomplished that’s advertised front and center?
So the directions do say how to show the county colors, but following those directions do not work. The counties remain transparent when turning on the Fill FFX layers within each county.
Its a bug. The All Masks checkbox does not work out of the box for each County’s Fill Effect. You have to first add another new Fill layer, check All Masks for it, then the original Fill layer that shipped with the file will work and you can delete the new Fill. Seems like a legacy file bug.
HOWEVER, the directions should have explicitly said to check the All Masks box for the fill color, which would have helped me diagnose this much faster. Wasted two hours of my time.
How can I do the effect you show in your :20-:25? This was one of the main reasons I bought this map for. Please help!
