My mac crash every time i try to load this happed on both my macbook pro and imac
After Effects error: crash occurred while invoking effect plug-in “Element”.
Every time I am linking the .obj file and press OK, this message will appear. Very very frustrating, trying to meet a deadline this week.

I was having the same problem others were with linking the obj file. The project wasn’t automatically trying to relink as the help file makes it seem and I couldn’t figure out how to relink manually. I finally figured it out and this is what worked for me. Open the “Device 09” (or “Device 07”, etc.) comp and click on the white background. Then in my effect controls panel I saw the Element controls. Clicked on “Scene Setup” and followed instructions as laid on in the help pdf. That’s at least what worked for me.

I finally purchased this product, it’s awesome! One thing though, for those of you using Mac’s as I am, it converted it from Windows to Mac format but never prompted to re-link Elements 3D files (as stated in the HELP doc). I had to go into each scene and re-link them manually. A little bit of a hassle since I’m an AE noob. I finally figured it out and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
The Help doc should add the step of manually re-linking the x device in case other people encounter this issue. If this was added, users would stop asking about importing the X Device.obj, just my 2 cents.
