I have trouble with the files on my PC. On my Mac it is running without problems. My PC has problems with the lenght of some paths and is missing files, when I import it into after effects. I also changed in Windows the lenght of the paths, but it is still not working.
Hi! Did you download the last pack we updated on Sunday night? It contains a shorter folder structure for characters, as well as guides in the documentation, what to do in case you can not shorten the outer path length.

Hi AgimStudio! Thank you for your interest! Or course, you can create a video for your clients and regular license is ok for this case, but you should know that for each client you need to pay a separate license. All After Effects templates on Videhive do not have a multi-license.

I am getting error messages for missing font (Roboto condensed) although I installed all fonts from your zip. Also, i am getting missing since last save error when i install the male character. Please advise. Finally, is there a getting started tutorials like you did for version 1 that shows how to set up scenes start to finish? Or should I watch the old one?

As for video tutorials, the old version remains relevant. The only difference in the principle of working with characters, so we recommend to watch the old video first, and then all the other video tutorials about the new version 2.0.

Dear owners of After Effects CC 2017,
Some builds of this version (in particular, on Windows) have problems with activation of the license. With the help of detailed debugging we found out that these builds do not have a system object that we use, while all other versions have this object.
We fixed this problem and have a working version of the plugin. Please contact us by email hello@ainforce.com if you encounter such a problem. Also we will update the plugin in the official package in the nearest minor release.

Dear existing and future users of AinTrailers v2,
We make this post for everyone, so that you will never face an After Effects PDF error: “There was an error processing this PDF document (1074397201) (50::29) / After Effects error: cannot reopen an open file (3::130)”.
Is this a serious error?
No! Our template is completely working and has nothing to do with this PDF error, at least directly. Perhaps only indirectly and below will be explained why.
Why this occurs?
1) This error appeared in the previous v1.3 for some users, on the character templates only. In particular, somewhere 6-8 users out of 150. That is, it spoke of a particular case, but nevertheless we could not find the exact cause.
2) The error occurs because After Effects can not read one or more source files in the Adobe Illustrator format. Although the files themselves are opened in the illustrator.
3) To eliminate the problem of incorrect source files, we rechecked and re-saved all the source files of our toolkit for v2. Yes, you correctly thought, this is a very large amount of work. Thus, we have excluded the most likely problem that the error in our project.
4) We have not encountered this problem during testing, never. And we test our project on various operating systems and on all versions of After Effects. Also, none of the beta testers encountered such a problem as well as other buyers after the official release.
5) And only thanks to the unique Chrisakanno case we were able to determine the exact cause of the problem. Chris, thank you very much for the opportunity to study the problem directly on your computer. It really helped us. Thank you for your patience!
6) So the only and primary reason for the PDF error is too long a system path to some project files because of the initially large nesting level of the project location. This eventually affects the total length of the system path to the files. And this can exceed the limit, because windows has a 255-character limit on the system path.
How to fix or prevent this?
1) Please do not place the toolkit project in a large level of folder nesting. Try to place the project on a level as high as possible, for example C:\AinTrailers or C:\Works\AinTrailers or something in a similar style, which is convenient for you.
2) Neither use the long folder name like “videohive-18950108-aintrailers-ultimate-explainer-video-toolkit” that the archive software offers when unpacking. Use a short title, for example AinTrailers or AT2. That is, after unpacking the layout and structure will be similar to this:

3) Observance of the two recommendations above will avoid the PDF error issue.

Upd. Mac OS also has a limitation on the length of the system path, so the recommendations above must also be followed for users of Mac OS.
By default, our character template has a convenient and transparent structure for navigating the source files of the character. If for some reason you can not or do not want to lift the project with the toolkit to the highest level of location, then please contact us by email hello@ainforce.com and we will collect for you a special pack, where the folder structure for the character will be shorter. It does not take a lot of time, do not worry. But then you must be prepared for the fact that it will be less convenient and transparent for searching for source files.
To all the buyers of Version 2: PLEASE READ THE SIMPLE EXPLAINED DOCUMENTATION!!! I can tell you that this version is working fine and smooth but read the few steps BEFORE you send your comment. It’s really not necessary if you read a few lines ‘how to’ and it saves a lot of time. Good luck and succes. 
Hi Nico! Thank you very much for confirming the working condition of our toolkit v2. And many thanks for the very necessary words about the documentation from the experience of the direct customer. This is more convincing than the mention of this in the product description.
As you mentioned, the steps from the documentation solved the problem with the plugin error. We also resolved the error with PDF, and found a more accurate problem of its origin. We will describe in detail this situation for everyone in a new post, but what we can definitely confirm is that our explainer toolkit is working and has nothing to do with the pdf error.
P.S: And we are extremely pleased that you look through the comments page periodically and participate in the life of our project. Hi, I am very unhappy and frustrated now. I purchased aintrailers today and I have been receiving a lot of errors with the version 2 template I downloaded today. The aintrailers color helper script is not working in after effects cc 2018 and it keeps showing this error “Unable to execute script. Bad argument in line 5…” The characters toolkit is not working either. It keeps popping up errors and crashing ae cc 2018. What do I do now
Hi! Do not worry, it’s all workable and we’ll help you. The first problem is caused by the fact that you probably did not complete all the steps from the documentation. This error can occur only in one case where there is no write permission for the file and the documentation contains everything to solve this problem. But we will still explain to you by email what exactly you need to do.
An error with pdf, it’s a bug of After Effects, about which we wrote a few pages back in the comments and how to fix this problem. Also, I note that this error does not completely break our template, and you can skip this error message. But we fixed it for v2 and at least 10 customers tested the product for CC 2018 and did not have such a problem. I think they can confirm this in the comments. We will just send you the version of the project file for CC2018. This will solve the problem.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! The most optimal configuration is a computer with 12-16GB RAM (or high) and 1-2GB of video card. Of course, toolkit also works on 8GB RAM, in particular all sections except characters work well. The character also works well on 8GB RAM if you follow our recommendations from the documentation and video tutorials, and also do not plan a lot of characters simultaneously.

Hi! The documentation in the package contains a detailed guide with images and gif-animation for installing plugins, so here we give only a list in the form of text:
1) You need to make sure that you copied all the files from the folder “03-AinTrailers-Character-Assistant”;
2) Make sure that you run the After Effects with Administrator privileges. It is necessary that the plugin has the rights to write files (presets) to the folder with scripts.
3) Make sure that the option Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network is enabled via menu command Edit > Preferences > General

Yes, the settings icon may not be visible immediately when opening the plugin, because this is the default behavior of After Effects, but if you embed it in the panel, the whole plugin will be visible at once.

Hi, I geting a consistent Error message while using ‘Aintrailer Tools”. Message ‘Opps [err 033]. Something Goes Wrong. The character structure does not match the original structure”. This shows whichever button I preset I use on the toolkit.
Hi! Errors with a number can appear only in the event that the original structure of our character project was violated or changed. In this case, this error means that the control layer “AinTrailers_Builder-Control__Male” (or other character actor) in the character builder comp “00-Character-Builder__Male” (or other character actor builder) is missing or renamed.
