Hello, Yes, you can use videos and photos inside Final Cut Pro X. The included tutorials will show you how to keyframe the call-out to follow the motion on screen.

Hello After I installed in on FCPX 10.3.4 the total project time line stuck and all time line become color red. ( half of the screen not the videos ) only fixed after I removed all call outs and delete them from the folder as well.
Hello. Reinstalling the template in folder will work as normal and reappear in timeline [in case are not deleted from timeline]. Please make sure to use the same installation method as the first time. After an FCPX update it is recommended to reinstall the templates. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
The problem that if If reinstall them will make the project stuck again. maybe there is a problem with compatibility with the new OS or new updates with FCPX

You make really nice projects! Is there a simple way to apply existing position and tracking keyframes from another callout to these? I purchased the 90 callouts pack from you in the past and used it in a video. I am now restyling this video and just bought this 50 pack. I tried copying all the transform attributes from the old callout to the new one in FCPX, but this doesn’t work. The copy/paste options under “keyframes” in the edit menu are not available… Thanks for helping out in advance!
Hi MR_77, Unfortunately FCPX does not offer the possibility to copy the keyframes for effects and titles. You can copy specific FCPX attributes like transfer, crop, distort. etc, form one clip to another but not the keyframes for titles and effects.

Hi ivs_220677. The template was created especially to be used with Final Cut Pro X. The Call-Outs can be opened and edited in Motion but there are some limitations. For the best user experience I will recommend Final Cut Pro X. You can find video tutorial how to edit in Motion inside the “Tutorials” folder
is it anway to run in FCPX 10.1.2?
Hi. The template Final Cut X 10.2.2 or later, it is not compatible with FCPX 10.1.2. You can download the the trial version of FCPX 10.3.x and use it for 30 days. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Hi, I love this pack, but I am having a problem that is rather frustrating. If I work on a project on one computer, export the library and corresponding files to my laptop and try to change any of the text FCP immediately closes and I have to restart the application. I can create new call outs on my laptop and the work fine, but trying to use call outs that were created on my other computer is impossible. Is there a fix for this? thanks!
Hi. On both Macs are installed the same fonts? Sometimes FCPX has problems reading the fonts and it crashes.
Yes, both have the font. I’ve tried a few different fonts, but the one I’m trying now to work on is Helvetica
With Helvetica is causing the crash and with other fonts is not?
No, it happens with any font.
It is very strange that is causes the problem only on the laptop and not on the other computer so it must be something related to the laptop. Can you please contact me using my profile page so we can troubleshoot this further?

Hi. To change the font please follow those steps in FCPX: STEP 1: Check the chekboxes under “DOUBLE CLICK TEXT EDIT” [on the bottom of the settings]. STEP 2: In Canvas click on the text that need the font to be changed. STEP 3: Click on “Text Inspector”. STEP 4: Change the text as needed. I have created a short 4 step picture tutorial for how to do this, you can view it here.

Hi, I have watched the tutorial video 10 times and still struggling to get it to track on final cut. Any other tips you can recommend?
Hi. If you want to animate both position and tip it is recommended to animate one at a time. First keyframe and animate the “Key Position” and after that was finished, keyframe the “Key Tip”. Creating keyframes for “Key Position” will animate the entire callout on screen and creating keyframes for “Key Tip” will animate only the tip, the rest of the callout will remain in place. It helps if you disable Build In and Build Out checkboxes so the callout will not animate in or out, than create a keyframe at the start of the callout and one and the end as described in video tutorials, than move the playhead across the callout, starting from the beginning, and adjust the on screen controls to follow your object in screen. After keyframing is done you can re-enable the Build in and Build Out.
For some reason, I don’t have control options to move the key position & tip position for the X &Y axis. This hasn’t happened before, is there a reason why this option is gone?
