It’s a pity that the template was created only for AE but not for Apple Motion or FCPX. I’m searching the same one but not for After effects 
And i’m getting disappointed because can’;t find any template. It’s very strange… Anyway thank you for such great pack even if i can’t use it due to editing only in FCPX&Motion.

I just purchased this software and am having a lot of problems with it. For starters when I try to open in Adobe AE it says that 150 files are missing and can not be downloaded. These leads to issues on the screens when I try to edit. ALL of the gestures and motions are not working properly and show as random bar colors. Also, it says that I am not allowed to “save” my edited file. Am I misunderstanding that? I need to be able to save it or how can I showcase it in a class presentation.

It sounds like you didn’t extract the .zip file content correctly. Could you please make sure to extract the entire main folder (“Mobi – App Promo Toolkit (V3.0)”) from the zip file onto your computer?
That should do the trick
Can I hide the phone in a composition? I’d like to just have the text around the phone, then replace the phone with another image, just for that one composition

When I opened the Mobi program (compatible with CC6), a box popped up saying “layer dependencies missing”. Then I found the central interface was not working properly (it showed different coloured lines). When I clicked on promo video 2 option, the screen again was pixelated, and the phone picture was like the central interface.
When I went to render, it said “38 footage files missing”. Then when the video was generated, it still looked the same as it did on the mobi interface.
Can you help?

Based on your description it sounds like the content of the .zip file wasn’t extracted correctly. Could you please try re-extracting the content and make sure to extract the entire main folder (“Mobi – App Promo Toolkit (V3.0)”) onto your computer?

Yes definitely! I will add that to my list for the next project update
In the meanwhile and until I release the next update, you could import any other phone model that you may have access to, and then simply make sure that the screen size is perfectly aligned and centered to the current Samsung device screen (in the device comp), and then deactivate the eyeball of the other phone models. Hi Anitalaya, Envato policy allows you to create 1 end product with 1 license (“Use, by you or one client, in a single end product”), so unfortunately the answer is no… you’d need to purchase a new license to create a new video (https://videohive.net/licenses/standard?license). Hope this helps!

That’s great. Yes, I believe it’s fairly easy to use for someone who has basic knowledge in After Effects. If you’ve never use AE before then your best option would be to follow the video tutorials (and PDF guide) that are included with your download, but you may want to familiarize yourself with the basics of AE before trying to modify the template. Hi, All of my content is on landscape mode, it is possible to asap the promo ready to landscape or is it default to portrait? you should think about Games on Landscape and create a promo ready only on landscape….please let me know about my question, thank you

Apologies for the slow response (I’m out on vacation), and thanks for purchasing the template Your idea is fantastic and I will definitely consider adding a landscape / game suited promo to the templates features! At the moment you can construct your own landscape video either by using ready made scenes which are in portrait mode, or create your own unique scenes using the wide mixture of landscape ‘scene setups’ (accessed via the main control panel of via the project panel). Please let me know if you have any further questions, and thanks again for your suggestion.

I would greatly appreciate if you could make a video tutorial on building video “Using the ready-made app promos”. As of now I am completely stuck And that is because I am new to AE.
Sure thing, that tutorial is definitely on the list! But to be honest, using the ready-made app promos is super duper simple, even for if you’re absolutely new to AE. Here’s a quick breakdown of how things work:
- Select the phone you’d like to use (iPhone or Galaxy).
- Choose one of the five ready-made app promos.
- Drag & drop your app screens into the placeholders.
- Add your music.
- Export the video.
Once you get the hang of things you’ll see that it’s much easier than you thought But if you still need help, either follow the in-depth PDF documentation or send me an email at any time to: info@amigo-productions.com

I brought the kit, didn’t know it need special adobe software and cannot be used on mac. Can I return this. Its not for my expertise level. I didn’t read that anywhere.

hello there. two thumbs up for the amount of work you put in this project.
I have a question for you. I opened the templates both in Ae cc and cs6. Ae informs me that 104 files are missing. this means that no image (hands, icons, screenshots) is included in the template (or the placeholders are empty). Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thank u very much

May I ask if you copied the entire folder from the .zip file to your computer? In any case it’s a super easy fix, but just want to try and replicate your steps because this hasn’t happened before.
So to get this sorted – in the project panel simply select and right click on one of the missing files, and re-link it to file location on your computer. This will then automatically relink all the rest of the files.

Is it possible to apply the gestures on every part of the screen? For example the single touch gesture can be applied on every inch on the screen?
Hi Jeroen, thanks for your question – Yes, you can apply the gestures to any part of the screen.
Inside the template there is a folder called “(3) Build your own”, which contains 28 hand gestures comps that allow you to position the gestures wherever you want. This allows you to create any custom animation that you have in mind.

Great, so it is relatively easy to create a complete instruction video of my app with this video, displaying each screen step by step and indicate the locations where the user must tap?
Yes definitely, but you do need to have at least basic knowledge / experience in AE in order to fully utilize all the features and create a custom video. But yes the template is built in a way that makes it easy to create your own story, including portrait & landscape scenes, hand gestures as well as multiple ready to use scenes

I’m working on a major upgrade to the template that will also include adding a Samsung Galaxy device (this will be a free upgrade for anyone who purchased the template in the past). In the meanwhile, if you have a high res design of a Samsung device you can easily replace it with the iPhone.
